Here.
I had an unknown primary. For me, good and bad. Good in that after all the scans and biopsies of tonsils / tongue nothing was found. Bad in that I was treated with the kitchen sink...35 rads to all sides of neck and seven concurent chemo treatments...
Great...that at 16 months post treatment...no evidence of disease!
If you have questions, this is a great place to find answers.
Best to you.0 -

Sounds scary, but there are many of us that are unknown primary.
Glenn had an unknown primary after, what seemed to me, an exhaustive search.
I can remember not really knowing what to think about that. Was it good? Was it bad? Was it a worse case scenario? It didn't seem to rattle the Drs. who said they'd seen it before and knew what to do.
The radiation treatment covered a broader area (like the WHOLE area)and Chemo was given.
Here we are 14 months post treatment and NED. He can eat anything he wants and proved that by eating half my popcorn at the movie theatre in June.0 -

My husband has an unknown primary. The Doc that put his port in said that was good news because the origin was so small. We hadn't thought of it that way! Neil finished treatment yesterday. 10 chemos, 36 rads.
Best of luck to us all!

I'm sure he graduated at the top of his class.....
