And do what you have to do. Infusion room, whatever. Take care of yourself. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and prayers for comfort.
Oh Sue, I am so sorry. Like Skipper wrote, you do whatever it takes to feel better. Please post when you are feeling better so we know how you are.
Lots of hugs,

Sorry you're having such a hard time this cycle. Listen to your body and allow yourself to rest. Hope it will pass quickly.
Oh, the horrid taste....sorry, no advice.

Glad you are heading home Sue. I didn't take chemo, so, I don't know anything to help you with the taste in your mouth.
Just rest and if you aren't feeling better, call your doctor. Keep us posted!

I had the horrid taste too--not much helped. Anything sweet made me sick, forget about something sour, bland tasted like wallpaper paste and made me gag. This is going to sound weird--here's what I lived on during those bad days of the last few chemos--Peanut butter on white bread, tomato soup from a can and cheerios with skim milk. There could be no variations! It was all trial and error and some of the things others suggested did not work for me.
Try to rest, get fluids down and distract yourself. Sometimes, just trying to play mindless games on the computer helped--or watching those reality shows on BRAVO! Do what you have to do, but try to pamper yourself.
Best of luck--

Ok, this is weird, but my last FEC cycle the only thing I ate for three days was Special K with strawberries, with milk. I would wake up, eat a bowl and go back to sleep.
Rest as much as possible and try to drink lots of fluids even if they taste yucky...flush out those toxins!
Hang in there, you will get through this!

Try to make sure you are eating enough. I realized when I didn't feel well, I needed to eat. I added an extra serving of protein to my day and that really helped. Your body needs fuel to rebuild what the chemo destroys in its path.
Rest too when you need to!

My third infusion kicked my butt too.. it's that whole accumulative thing. My MO offered more nausea meds for my 4th infusion. Make sure you keep your doctor informed of your side effects. You are getting some great tips on food, seems the only liquids that tasted good to me during my treatments were water and believe it or not chocolate milk.
Hang in there buddy... those cell counts will be rebounding before you know it.
Hugs,

mouth taste
If you taste metal like in your mouth then switch to plastic silverware. It helps some.0 -

Ugh I'm so sorry you're
Ugh I'm so sorry you're feeling crappy. I think it was around my 3rd chemo that i started feeling really bad too. I HATED the weird taste-buds! I drank ALOT of carnation instant breakfast when I just oculdn't find something to eat. Also, alot of regular drinks were icky to me, so I drank Vitamin water (the xxx flavor-kinda grape-y, pomegranate flavor), and diet cherry dr. pepper (i NEVER drank diet pop before chemo!). They both had a flavor that seemed to soothe me & i could actually taste it. And I ate alot of white-cheddar flavored popcorn.
Getting fluids sounds like a good idea. It will probably help you feel better rest as much as you can, and follow your body.
*hugs*

So sorry Sue that the chemocamul said:Sorry you are feeling so
Sorry you are feeling so bad. I swear by cherry popsicles and now cherry charm suckers! Don't ask me why but they seem to work the best for me. No food ever tastes good, even if it does sound good.
Hope the next one is better.

So sorry Sue that the chemo is having such a terrible effect on you. Praying that it will be easier on you and that soon you will feel better.
Hugs, Leeza0
