Farewell
Looks like we served in the same uniform and under the same flag. I wish you the traditional wish of sailors and marines "Fair winds and following seas." You are a gutsy individual and your family no doubt will reflect this in your final journey. I'm sorry I didn't get to know you.I'm sure we could have exchanged sea stories of the "this is a no-shxxer type and had some laughs.

Dear John
I haven't been on the board for a few days and today, I was thinking about you. I've always admired your courage, your strength, and your honesty. John, I am very sorry and I hope that you have a very enjoyable weekend and more. Holding you and your family in the Light for peace, comfort, and strength.
Farewell Friend,

Oh My Goodness
I'm so very sorry to hear this. I've not been on the board lately and came in tonight to see what was going on and found your post. I'm so sad of this news. You have been such an inspiration on this board for all you have been through and all you have tried to accomplish through your experiments and you have done more and given more than a person would. You, my friend, are such a hero in my life. Just never forget that you are loved very much by your family and your family on this board. I'm praying that things will turn out different for you, but if not, you have left an impression of goodness with many people.
Love and Hugs! Kim0 -

My heart is heavy with sadness. We are all crying with you! We will meet again, my friend,
John
Wishing you a peaceful departure John. Thinking and loving you for all that you have given me, the lives you touch, our country and your courageous fight to live. “When you have come to the edge of all the light you have and step into the darkness of the unknown. Believe that one of the two will happen to you. Either you'll find something solid to stand on. Or, you'll be taught how to fly!”
~go fly my friend~
I will never forget you.

John,
I too am so new to
John,
I too am so new to this board and did not have the opportunity to get to know you as the others did. That is my loss. I will be praying for your wife and son and that your last days are peaceful and pain free. I went for a liver biopsy this week to see if I have mets to the liver and as I lay down on the table, they had piped in music from the radio. The song that was playing was "In the arms of the angels"; how comforting to go to sleep to. I pray that you will carried to our Heavenly Father in the arms of the angels and finally be at peace. I will get to meet you one day and we will both finally be forever cancer free! Bless you John for your courageous fight and thank you for your service to this country.
Much love and prayers,

I too did not get to know you well as my husband's battle lasted only 9 months. But he went peacefully and I hope the same for you.

Farewell John
Have a peaceful journey.
My thoughts to your loved ones: I lost my wife just two short weeks ago. The hospice doctors and nurses can and should provide much comfort to you and John. Insist on it.
Talk to John, he will hear you.
Hold his hand, he will feel your touch.
Love John, and he will always be with you.
With warmth,

Such hard news to hear
I'm just so sad to hear this.
Thanks for being a good friend to so many here. You've been an inspiration to many, myself included. It is sad to say goodbye so soon. I wish you more good days with family and loved ones, and a peaceful passing.0 -
I've read all your posts
You have been an example and an inspiration. You have had a profound impact on many lives, including mine. I hope you know that.
You will be greatly missed. Wishing you a peaceful exit, and comfort at home with your family. My thoughts are with you and you loved ones this weekend.0 -
John
I am truly sorry to hear this. I know we've had some differences in the past, but life's boring if everyone agrees with each other all the time. You've been an inspiration to me and others by your strong will and determination.
I wish you and your family peace.

?
@John: I truly think of you everyday...and I was going to leave you a PM but I suck at it I guess as I spent here an hour and I still don't find how I could do that...the funny thing is, I've done it in the past!!! But I forgot how I did it...well...I think of you, and I soooo don't want to let you go! I'm a kid myself, and it's so annoying and heart breaking to accept reality...I hate reality...please take care!!!!
Hugs,
Sophie0
