More prayers please.
I am in need of more prayers, and need I say, pray for Jim. FRiday Jim started to cough up small specs of blood. Saturday it was about a teaspoon of blood. The on call nurse came by to check. She said it was from the cancer. His heart rate has also been in the 100s but they don't seem to be worried. She said she could hear the sound cancer makes in the upper lungs, more so in the right. She warned us that it was rare but she has seen it twice that the cancer will cause hemorage in the lungs and he will cough large amounts of blood. She told us that just to prepare us for worst case. I had a friend whose son had the lungs hemorage. She said it was awful and nothing could prepare you for it. She told me this five years ago. Didn't want to sound like she told me now.
The Hospice nurse gave me a notebook for the caretaker. I read the end of life symptoms. Jim is displaying some of them. I seem to be numb right now and am trying to be strong for Jim. He sees me sometimes as I was in my 20's and wakes calling my name to be sure I am there. The nurse ordered a wheel chair and portable oxygen for him to go fishing. However it is too cold and windy and he isn't real enthused. Mostly he sleeps. Last week and this weekend I have been able to get him up and into the living room to watch a little TV until about 11PM, he dozes more than watches. Today he has no pain but says he feels bad and wants to stay in bed.
Thanks for letting me ramble. It is a comfort knowing I have your prayers and listening ears. We find comfort knowing that Jesus is with us now and will be with us through to the other side.
Blessings my friends
Debbie

Debbie,
I will keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers.
Peace,
Matt
I know all of our thoughts and prayers are with both you & Jim. It is good that he is not in pain. Prayers that God give you the strength to be there for Jim as you always have been. It is obvious that he is at peace with you by his side.
God bless,
Candi

Thank you my friends. I have
Thank you my friends. I have been numb these last two days as Jim's rapid decline stuns me. Today he would not get out of bed and slept all day. Reading your response has touched my heart and I am able to greive a little and release some tears. Please specifically pray that his lungs do not hemorage as I don't think I could handle that and I would never be able to come back to this home. He seems to be comfortable and only needed pain meds at 3:30. However the blood he coughs up has increased in quantity and is brighter red. Thank you all for your prayers and comforting words.

Hello Debbie
You know sometimes I think they give out way too damn much information. Please take this one day at a time, sometimes one step at a time. Do you have someone close that can be with you two during the evenings ? If things get too rough at home to manage, you may think of hospice providers outside of the home. (just a suggestion)
You are a very brave and loving woman. And Jim knows and feels your love with him through this believe me. You both are in my prayers and thoughts. Hugs sent, Katie

I am holding you close to my heart. Sending positive & healing thoughts to Jim that he will continue to be pain free. As Kate suggested, perhaps someone can come & be with you. It is not a time to be alone.
Luv,

Jim
I pray that his pain and suffering will be minimum, and that our Lord will give you the strength you need in this time of trial. When I am down and can go no lower, when my world starts to fall apart on me I cry out to the Lord and find that He is always there to help me. I am praying for you both everyday.
God Bless
Tim
