    Great Idea!!!
    Hey everybody,

Well, the screen name should be evident...I love Reeses Peanut Butter Cups!! My sister (14 years older than me) nicknamed me, "Reese", when I was brought home from the hospital 44 years ago because she also loved Reeses Cups. She is like my second mother and I love her dearly.

I was born in VA, but my parents divorced and we ended up in KY when my mom remarried. I was closer to my stepdad than my natural father, so I know what it's like for you, Jo Jo, with your cousin being more like your sister.

I was diagnosed with TNBC in Aug. 2009 after finding a lump (2.2 cm) and then having a mammogram. I also had 3 ultrasounds where it couldn't be seen at all. I had a unilateral mastectomy with no reconstruction (I'm not using them anymore so I don't care if one's missing) and 6 chemo (Cytoxan and Taxotere) treatments which I finished in Dec.,2009.

I am now 9 months out from chemo and trying to get back into my busy, hectic life. I'm thankful for this site and all of you who have had to fight this horrible beast. Your strength and your wisdom have been an inspiration to me.

    Hugs to you all!!!!

    Reese

    P. S.- Anybody else out there from KY or at least close to Nashville, TN?

    I'm not but I visited
I'm not but I visited nashville this summer and loved it!

    Add me to California
Screen name "Double Whammy" because I was dx'd first with endometrial cancer and then less than a week later with breast cancer in April of 2010. Had partial mastectomy first in May (Stage 1, grade 2 IDC, clear margins, sentinal nodes clear, Estrogen+, Progesterone+, HER-2 neg, Oncotype dx 31). Had DaVinci robotic assisted hysterectomy July 1 (that was Stage 1, Grade 1, lymph nodes clear, pelvic was clear) no adjuvant treatment needed just follow up exams for that one (whew). Had last chemo for the bc (Taxotere and Cytoxin) last week. Will meet with radiologic oncologist October 8, then radiation, then aromotase thereapy. What a year!

I found this website while on duty at Camp Pendleton several months ago. I was so worried about my wife and waiting for the latest scan results. We have 3 beautiful daughters that I adopted from my wife's previous marriage and we now have 2 son's. I chose this name to reflect what the worlds best branch of service represents, because when we need the BIG DOG you call on America's 911 force...The MARINES.

    Been gone awhile....
Kathi is my real name, no mystery there. 2x cancer survivor, first stage III colon cancer, then stage II breast cancer, 6 months later. Just passed 4 years from last treatment in June. I celebrated my 55th birthday in Germany this year....the wine country...lovely! Spent 55 Euros at the Grand Casino in Monte Carlo on the number 5 (we were on a Mediterranean cruise in July, 55, born in 1955, 5 years survivor).

I travel alot now, this stuff changed my life. I live in 2 countries, Southern California in America, and a beautiful town in The Netherlands (Holland). I switch countries every 3 months...just got back to CA last Wednesday...

    Hugs, Kathi

Hi - My favorite color has always been pink. When young, I wanted pink everything!! I grew up in the Seattle area and love the **** willows in the Springtime - it is still one of the things I miss! Hence, the name PinkWillow. I now live in the Boise, Idaho area; was diagnosed January 2010 and just finished up a month ago with surgeries, chemo, and radiation. I am 63, retired (and loving it) and single. Haven't really done much except get through this experience this year, but am getting my strength back now! I love walking and reading, and work with lampwork and kilnforming glass.

I have been reading and learning from all your posts even though I have not written very much. You have made me feel so not alone - Thank you all!!!

    is my screen name
    and it's complicated...
My real name is Donna. Was diagnosed in Feb of this year with stage 1/11a and I forget the
rest of the nomenclature, but I am ER pos,PR pos,HER2 neg and onco of 14 with node negative.
Had the lumpectomy and 2 nodes taken out--just as a precaution. Had 33 tanning sessions and started Arimidex on July 4th..so far no side effects that matter. I am 56.Spent time growing up in eastern PA and NJ. Called Pittsburgh "home" because that's what I remember the most.
    Have lived in: CA(hated it)CO(loved it)southern AZ(loved it)SC(half love/half hated it).For
the person up the board in Nashville--I live about 110mi east of you in Crossville. And for
the other person up there--I also graduated from PSU--in 1975.

I'll have my first post-diag mammogram on Dec 13th. Good thing I have a designated driver!!LOL!
My SO Frank has been a real trooper. Between my relatively easy path and my support system--
this board included I am blessed.

    Namaste.

    Hi another Florida girl
My name is Edie I live in Jaclsonville, Florida. my screen name is a bedtime game I used to play with my daughter and the 97 is the year she was born. She'd be the sugar cookie and I had to be the coconut macaroon, i really wanted to be peanut butter. My avatar is from Despicable Me the movie; the little blonde girl is named Edith (which by the don't tell anybody is my real name) anyway my family thought that she looked just like me as a kid with the pink cap and the little bit of blonde hair peeking out from underneath. Boy that took a lot to explain.
I am 54 years young and have 4 children, 3 of which are grown and on their own the youngest from my second marriage is 13. I have a wonderful husband of 15 years 2 dogs and a cat. I am still working in the hospitality industry. I work for a private downtown club in member services. I was diagnosed in May 2010 of IDC stage IV. So no surgery for me; I am on Taxotere and Cytoxin every 3 weeks. I thought I was done on Sept. 3rd, then found out last Friday that I have 3 more to go; that makes 9 all together oh yeah I get Zometa infusions as well because of the bone mets. It's all doable.

All of this doable because of all the wonderful folks on this board. I have laughed, I have cried, I have vented. But most of all I have felt welcome here more than anywhere.

    Take care my sisters
    Peace and Love,
    Edie

    Another Ohioan here
My screen name - carolu200 - is not very original. When I first signed up for a yahoo email account there were lots of carolu's ahead of me - 199 to be exact. LOL I live in Toledo, OH with my dh of 42 years. I'm 64 and we have 3 grown kids, all married and one grandson who is the light of our lives.

I was diagnosed last April. Two enlarged axillary lymph nodes were found during a retake on a mammogram. After two months of tests no primary site was found and the final diagnosis was adenocarcinoma from an unknown site although the original path report was breast cancer. Estrogen postitive and HER2 negative. Did chemo first and then a bilateral mastectomy on Sept. 7. Of 21 axillary nodes taken only the two original nodes (which had shrunk to half the original size) were positive. Still no primary site found - nothing, nada, zip - in either breast! I see the oncologist tomorrow to see what comes next. I'm hoping for no rads but we'll see.

I've been mostly a lurker here but have learned a lot from you all even though I've not found anyone else with the same thing I do.

I was dx with Stage 2a TNBC, nodes clear, in June 09, had single mastectomy and finsihed chemo in 12-09 and today, when I combed my hair, was the first day I didn't see the top of my scalp! But I'm getting ready to wash it, so we'll see. What a victory tho!

My husband and I are on the Bd of Dir of our local humane society and that is a real passion of ours. We are a working board so I am busy 24/7 and I love it. This discussion board is also a passion...where we can let our hair down and let our emotions flow. You are all family and I laugh and cry with you.

Judy (Creampuff), do you still have that T-Bird? Always wanted one...just love them.

I love doing this every so often, some of you have terrific memories about these facts and I can forget some of the details, so it's great to see this every so often.

    T-Bird
No, the Thunderbird is long gone, along with the husband who purchased it for my birthday, and within 3 months announced he wanted a divorce to marry his secretary (who was one year older than our daughter). Guess the T-Bird wasn't such a grand present after all. Now that I am old (66 last week), I glide around in a somewhat unobtrusive automobile, mainly driven by elderly folks. But, I haven't lost the desire to live life in the fast lane. Thanks for asking, Skeezie. Hugs, Judy

My real name is Kelly - I got my screen name for the sake of couldn't think of another name and plus all this breast cancer stuff was new to me at the time I joined. I was diagnosed in April with Invasive ductal carcanoma Stage II / 15 lymph nodes removed, 2 were cancerous. I had a lumpectomy in May and started 6 rounds of chemo in June(taxotere, carboplatin & herceptin) this Friday will be my LAST chemo but will have to continue Herceptin to complete a year. In January I have to do 6 weeks of radiation(everyday) I turned 50 this last Feb. and will be a grandma for the first time anyday now. I have been married to the same man for 29 years (and proud of it) - infact yesterday (9/26/10) was our anniversary. My husband has been very supportive & wonderful through all this. He has taken days off to take care of me when I'm sick & he has been to every chemo and every Dr. appt. We have 3 grown children - 2 daughters (both married ages 23 & 27) and one son (26)
I have a lot to be thankful for. Because of my primary Dr. she jumped on things real fast when my mammogram looked suspicious.
This adventure has brought my family closer - not that we were apart or anything but we have all banned together, what happened to me, happens to all of us. We were all effected right down to cousins, grandpa's and Aunts. I have the best support group at work (yes, I am still working through all this and has helped me a great deal)I am a people person and need my friends. I have found that talking about my cancer is great therapy for me. I am a Christian women and it is my faith in Jesus Christ that has gotten me through, everything else follows.
I love this site and feel very close to you sister in pink.

My "legal" name is Sharon, but my Dad called my SherSher when I was little, which turned to Sherry or Sher. My lump was found by my gyn on April 30, 2009. I had IDC and DCIS, stage 1C, grade 3, ER/PR +, HER2+. 6 nodes removed all clear. 2 lumpectomies in June 09 to get clear margins, 4 rounds A/C, 1 round of Taxol, 35 rads, and 17 Herceptins. Only one more to go! I'm also on Tamoxifen for 4 1/2 more years. I turned 50 in March 09 and this was my birthday present lol! I'm single and am a self-employed bookkeeper--my weeks are the same but every day I'm at a different company. Like new2me I have a very supportive family which I don't know what I would have done without them.

I just saw this topic. Love it. I'm Gayle and my screen name is very original, My 1st name and beginning of my last. I live in Central PA in a small town along the Susquehanna. The town is called Watsontown and it is about 55 miles north of Harrisburg. I grew up as an Air Force brat so lived all over the country.I was diagnosed Dec. 09 wit IDC, results are stage 1, no node involvement and clean margins on the lumpectomy. Had C/T chemo for 3 mos. and 33 rad treatments. I'm feeling fine now, and as usual dread the upcoming check-ups. This is a great idea JoJo.
