West Coast Fl ladies...

Having watched the Southern Cal ladies plan a Re-union, and seeing how excited they are getting about it, has me thinking - are there enough of us in this area to get together in the same way? I'm not far from Clearwater/St. Pete, which wouldn't be a bad spot for a centralized get-together for this side of the state if anyone is inclined.

    I'm in Orlando and would love to have a get together. My Turn Now is in Jacksonville, mama G is a near neighbor in Sebastian, Blown Away in Miami as I recall. I travel to Tampa all the time because I get all my treatment at Moffitt. I know there are other Floridians on the boards this would be a wonderful thing to do.

    Hi Ladies
    I will definitely consider coming if it doesn't interfere with any of my treatment, my next and last chemo is this Wednesday!!!! Then a lumpectomy on the 15th of September, after that, wonderful rads begins, but I have no idea when. I'm in Pensacola.

    Sounds great, Im in Cape Coral(Ft Myers area) about 1 and 45 mins frm St Pete, but I wouldnt mind driving up to Clearwater or St Pete for a reunion. How about between Thanksgiving and Christmas? If someone can get it organized to where and when, I will be there.

    I live in Jacksonville about 3.5 hrs away, but my daughter lives in Tampa. I wouldn't mind making the trip and combining it with a visit to her and the grankids. I might even drag her along.

    I'm turning green with jealousy..... Not only am I not in CA but I'm no closer to FL either! I live in CT and wishing you all a wonderful reunion if you get it together. I think it's an awesome way to join kindred spirits :-)

    I was in such admiration of the CA girls and had the thought of the same for us Fl gals, but I'm not much of an event planner. I would absolutely LOVE a reason to take a break and get away for a day or even better, a weekend, let alone the opportunity to meet some of my new sisters! (Can't we ALL just meet somewhere in the middle?! Maybe Kansas or Nebraska?)

    if sometime between Thanksgiving & Christmas works...
    Maybe the weekends of Dec 4/5 or 11/12 would work. If anybody wanted to come for the weekend there are some reasonable motels on the beaches in St. Pete. As for a luncheon, I'm sure we could find a place out there, or we could go to a nice restaurant in Tampa somewhere - even International Mall has some great restaurants, and it would afford an afternoon of decadent shopping to boot!

    Either of those week ends would work for me. As far as location of the restautrant Tampa sounds pretty good, I might take my youngest daughter to Bush Gardens.
