Our dear Marie is in the hospital in her last days or possibly hours. She has a bowel obstruction that can not be fixed. She can no longer open her eyes or speak, but her son tells me they are keeping her comfortable. He gave me permission to let her csn friends know.
She is an ovarian survivor so I will be posting this message there as well.
I have never met a stronger or sweeter lady than Marie. She has made it clear for some time that she is ready to go to her God. She would not want us to feel comfortless at this time. I will update as needed.

    Zahalene, I am so sorry to hear of Marie's condition. I will be praying for her and for her family and you also. It is hard to lose a friend, even when she is ready to go.

    While I fully realize this is NOT about me, it is nice to have the support of all you sweet people. Yes, Marie and I go 'way back' (well, 4 years...lol). She was one of the first ones to 'show me the ropes' here. But she is that way with everybody...she has no favorites.
    I know she feels the strength of your prayers because that is how her belief system works...she believes in love. Period. God bless you all.

    I'm relatively new here, and regret that I did not have the opportunity to get to know Marie because she seems like an exceptionally special person. Sending prayers for her, and her loved ones and friends.

    so sorry to hear about your friend
    I also did not know Marie, but do know how hard it is to say goodbye to someone you care for.
    I will keep you both in my prayers and hope for an easy ending for her. It sounds as if she has made her peace with this earth and is ready to move on to other things.

    I, too, met Marie here at CSN about 7 years ago. We used to talk in the chat room a lot back then and she was always so very supportive. We've been email friends for a long time now and it seems that she never complains about her problems but is always caring about mine. She has picked me up many times and I am thankful for knowing her. My prayers go out to her and her family. Please keep us posted, Zahalene.

    I will update here whenever I learn anything new Texylin.
    Marie is indeed one of the most selfless people I know. She just never thinks of herself first. She truly has the gift of encouragement.

    I have moved her to my 'special prayer' list...

    Please keep us updated...I HATE that another of our warriors could fall, but I am also encouraged that she will be in a loving place, disease free!!

    She was such a large part of my chat room experience...when I was battling the beast...I don't know how I would have done without her and peeps like her..Tears are coursing down my cheeks...

Know that there are so many people lifting you up at this time, and we will be here when your precious friend has found her peace. She has fought a brave fight against this awful beast, and will reap her rewards for all of the good she did during her journey. Let us know how things progress.
