I have graduated to 4 month checkups :-)
I saw my oncologist today and he is letting me go 4 months instead of 3 months between visits. He is also only doing my labs every 4 months now. He is very pleased that my markers have been going down the last few visits. I know there is sad news here tonight and my heart is heavy, but I had to also share my hopeful news.

In Remembrance of Marsha C. Mulvey
Remembering Marsha C. Mulvey who died on December 17, 2011 leaving two adult children. Marsha was one of the most courageous woman I ever encounter on any online breast cancer boards since 1997. I have encountered a lot of brave women but none equal to Marsha. She was diagnosed as stage IV from the onset with cancer in her…

Thank you, AngieD, for my lovely ornament!
Today's mail brought me a beautiful ornament for my tree -- Clara from the Nutcracker, all in pink. Angie explained that Clara's fight in the ballet reminded her of the bravery, grace, and beauty we all see in one another along our journeys. I'm touched to receive such a meaningful gift -- thank you, Angie, for your…

OT What is wrong with people? Tragedy in Connecticut........
This shooting at the school in Connecticut is so sad, so horrible. 26 confirmed dead now and 18 of those are children. This is just what they are saying right now. Such a senseless act, I just don't get it.

Do you ever feel that you are faking it for the sake of others?
Today I am four years cancer free!! My husband calls it my VC day (victory from cancer). My VC day to us is the day I had my bilateral mastectomy. My oncotype score was a 13 so I chose not to have chemo (the hardest decision of my life) and began taking tamoxifen. Took that for 2 years and then switched to Aromasin after…

Hi everyone, I know in my last post I was wondering about margins and such, well I got my answer from my local Breast Surgeon.
