It's that time of year to find out what all of my beautiful pink sisters are doing for Christmas, staying home, flying somewhere, taking a cruise, helping others out...
What are you doing, where are you going and do you have a very special memory?

Christmas
We will be going to my parents home for Christmas. I can't imagine being anywhere else than with my family to celebrate such an important day.
I've barely started my Christmas shopping, so, I really need to get moving on that. Have you got your shopping done?
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas.
Hugs, Debby0 -
All our children will be
All our children will be here for Christmas as well as all the grandchildren and I will be so happy to see them all. I do so love em all. all the daughter-in-laws too. My wife is complaining because the 4 oldest boys shaved their heads and said in a sarcastic tone,"That'll make a nice family picture"! I thought to myself, 'that'll make the BEST family picture ever!'0 -
Cooking, cooking and
Cooking, cooking and cooking. My grandson is helping me again this year. He is 16 now and 6 foot 5 inches tall but he still likes to help, especially with the baking. He first volunteered to help in 2009 when he was 13 and I was still going through chemo. We celebrate on Christmas Eve and are expecting 22 this year.
Hugs and Happy Holidays to all

Forgot to mention, we are having seafood again this year. Yum Yum0 -
Christmas
My sister is coming from Buffalo for Christmas. We talk to each other every week but have not seen each other in about 10 years. I am so excited.
We will spend Christmas eve with my son and his family and spend Christmas day with my daughter and grandson.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

I wish I could say yes we have our shopping done, but, I can't. I have most of it done, so, I am not too worried. We'll get it done in time, we always do. lol
The stores are really having some great sales which are nice.
All I really need for Christmas is to be with my family. There's really nothing that else that I need.0 -

We do cookie plates too and every family that comes gets one. I have to make extra because my husband loves to give them to the neighbors too. Yesterday I mentioned to our Mailwoman about putting her cookies in the mail box on Christmas Eve and she pulled out her phone and was checking her schedule to make sure she was working that day. She even said "Just leave me a note in the mailbox and I will come to the door and get them". Had to laugh so funny. It amazes me how little things can make people so happy. I guess that is why I am still making hats. I just love the look on peoples faces. They cannot believe that a stranger would do something so caring just for them. It gets me everytime.

Our Usual
Christmas Day we will join those who can come from my husband's family around late morning for dinner about 1:00 and the gift exchange. There are so many of us, as he is one of sixteen children, that there are "tons" of gifts, even though we exchange names to help keep it aqffordable. Most of the family, including the next generation, still live within 45 minutes of the homestead. If they can't make it for the meal, they do pop in at some point in the late afternoon or early evening.
My side of the family has what it calls the Annual Ashley Post-Christmas Christmas, as it works better for us to gather between Christmas and New Year's. Aside from the fact that one of my brothers and his family live about three miles from my parents, most of us live 200-600 miles away. My parents have an apartment in a retirement complex, and we reserve the activity room for our actual celebration. There we have plenty of room for our dinner and other activities.0 -

We'll be at my in laws for Christmas Eve and attend midnight mass. It will be a candlelight ceremony which is always so serene and beautiful. I wouldn't miss church for anything. It really wouldn't seem like Christmas without going.
We'll spend Christmas day at my parents home. They already have their tree up and the house looks so beautiful, so Christmasy! ( if that is a word )
Happy holidays and Merry Christmas!

I've never heard that before... Like it! I just started chemo last Thursday and will have my second treatment on the 20th, so don't know how much enjoyment I'll have on Christmas Day? Maybe some glimpses of my 3 year old opening a present? Wishing my new pink sisters a wonderful Christmas!

We will be having Christmas at my parents and we are excited. It is always a wonderful day, full of good food, lots of presents and spending time with our loved ones.
My husband and I will either attend church on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning.
