After Cone Bioposy be Vigilant
I had a cone biopsy in 1987 (at 34) that was both diagonistic and curative. So my ob/gyn said. Each year after that I had a Paps and every few years a mammogram. Had an easy menopause in 1994, no trouble, so I figured I was healthy. In late 1998 I was diagnosed with stage 2B cervical cancer, just a few months after my last…

Slow Test Results?
I was just diagnosed with moderate displaysia. It took nearly 4 weeks to get the results of my PAP back. The Dr. called me to schedule an appointment right away because she felt it was very important to begin treatment immediately. If she had such a sense of urgency, why the heck did the lab take 4 weeks to look at my PAP?…

Please respond. I am freaking out...
I just finished treatment for early stage breast cancer and went in for my annual pap in July. They called a month later to say I have a "low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion." Do I need to have another test done and do the colposcopy and or a biopsy? What is the normal course of treatment? I can't believe now this.…

sex and precancer
I've been diagnosed with severe dysplasia and am scheduled to have a minor surgery (LEEP) at the end of this month. I was wondering how this procedure will affect my sex life, if at all. Will sex feel different? I've noticed that since my biopsy, I've had a heightened sensitivity (not painful...just surprising). Thank you.

Are Biopsies Painfull?
I will have a biopsy done in one week. My question is, "Will it hurt much?" My one year exam, after my twins were born via c-section, showed precancerous cells. I feel like a little kid. They called me two weeks ago, and I have one more week to wait. I find myself more afraid of pain than results! Ha! Also, how long does…
