I Crashed Again, But Still Hanging In There

Haven't been here for a couple of weeks since I got another infection, this time my sinuses became so clogged I had to temporarily stop my chemo and am on antibiotics for the time being. I ran fever, chills, lightheadness, extreme fatigue and couldn't get out of bed for about a week. Sinus problems was caused by the cytoxan, I was told, another side effect. My hands are still trying to break out but I'm on steriods 3 times a week for that problem. Good news, I was able to have my 9th chemo this week, so I only have 3 more to go. At this point, I feel like I'm crawling to the finish line but even that should feel good, to be able to get to the finish of my chemo treatments. My heart specialist seems to be pleased with the way my heart is handling the stress of chemo and thinks I'm doing fine, took me off the plavix since it causes me to bruise so much. I'm still having issues with my diabetes since the sugar levels go high on the days I take steriods so I have to be careful and make sure to take extra insulin and keep it under control.
My heart goes out to all the new people here and I wish everyone well. You will get thru this even on the hard days. People here are so encouraging, supportive, loving and warm. I hope to be able to give more input when I feel better but for now I have to take care of me and keep myself putting one foot in front of the other. I still have 30 rad treatments after the chemo and I hope it goes faster and better when I get there. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Love, Sunrae

    Just wanted to let everyone
Just wanted to let everyone know I was able to take my 10th chemo treatment this week. Even tho I'm fatigued out and still fighting some infections, I feel like I'm so close to the end of the chemo stage, and I can see all of you standing at the finish line, cheering me on. My onc asked me if I wanted to quit now because of the problems, but I told her "It was never an option. When I signed on to 12 weekly chemo treatments, I committed myself to finishing the job even tho it only adds 3% benefit. I want to make sure I've did everything within my power to beat this beast." And so I'm getting there and you all have helped me in more ways than you know. I come here for encouragement and you never fail me. When the going gets rough, I think of all you pink warriors who have gone on ahead of me, who are going thru this now too, and all those who will come behind us. We have a great support system here and it can't be beat anywhere else. Thank each and everyone of you for being with all of us as we battle this bc beast, each battle brings us closer to winning the war. My prayers and thoughts are for all of you.
