I have been away doing rads, i have missed you all so much, I am trying to keep up but, i think12/25 will have to put it in a nutshell for me!! I can only say that there is a connection here that is hard to explain, I have had a angel pop in on me in my deepest despair (Moopy) and words written from you all that came straight from your heart to mine. I don't know why but the unexplainable friendship and love i feel here, means so much to me and i miss you all when i am away, i am doing great rads are a breeze.. and i have met the nicest people through the worst circumstances. i think God chooses a few of us to "live like we were dying" my eyes are open now, memories flood my brain (happy only) and my love for you all is real you are my sisters (and brothers). Dear friend and sister, I am
Dear friend and sister, I am so relieved and grateful that rads are going well and you are better than OK in Billings. Of course, I knew you would make new friends wherever you go; that is just who you are.

As for me, my other sister Jackie can tell you stories that might make you wonder about how angelic I am! Even so, I am glad I was there for you--as you and our sisters in pink have been and continue to be for me and and you and each other.

Now have a great weekend at home! Hello to Bob, and aarf to Tootsie.

Hi, I, read your post, and I am excited for you--rads next week! Please keep us posted. Everyone says rads are SO much easier than chemo. Isn't that great to know? Take care, and I hope the B6 is helping this time.

    Our dear Jackie...
While in Billings, you are missed here - by us - at least as much as you miss us!

Am so glad that rads are going well for you. Really happy you've already made new friends during the process - which, of course, is not surprising to me at all! :-)

I hope you're standing on a nearby shore, fishing pole in hand, with Tootsie running around alongside! Enjoy your weekend, dear Jackie.

    Kind regards, Susan

P.S.: Marcia started a thread just a few days ago, titled something like: "How long does it take to make a friend"... Many members posted, all expressing your same feelings, in their own unique ways. It's a good one, worth searching for and reading.

    Dear sweet Jackie
You have been missed here by all of us too! It is amazing, isn't it, how we can become so close, so bonded, so much of each other's lives thru the connection of bc and being on this site. Being a bc survivor does put you in the club of pink ribbons. But, what a wonderful club it is. It is where you can tell your deepest and darkest fears and someone will understand. Or, you can tell how such a small thing as seeing a smile on a childs face lit up your heart. We can share anything and be understood by someone. How lucky we are for that!

I am so happy to hear your radiation is going so well for you. How many have you had now? I pray that you have no problems at all! I hope you are getting a lot of rest too. I know it has been difficult for you to be away from home during the week, but, think of it as going home on the weekend and having a date with your hubby! lol Could be interesting! (wink)

Welcome home Jackie and I don't mean to Montana! Love, Jeanne

    well put Jeanne
Your words touched my heart. This is exactly how I feel about you all.

I have had 6 treatments now, and i have been using their samples of aquafor but it is greasy it can ruin your clothes, so I put that on only at night and alovera in the day. The lady i ride the cancer van with, just had bad burning on her neck, she said she hadn't thought to lotion there..but has been in the breast area..so no break-down their.. so i guess the lotioning does help, although i hadn't thought about the neck either. This week i will be staying at the Holiday Inn ( The ACS has been absolutely wonderful..in finding me places to stay (and nice Ones), rides to all apt.s and treatments. They have really taken such good care of me, and i am soooooooo grateful! I have met some really cool people.

Yet as i said before there is no place like home and back in my hubbies arms at night. (wink), We have become closer through all of this ..it makes us appreciate each other more..when i do get home. and I appreciate you all so much more than I can say.

Thank you all for such a loving welcome home..and Moopy i bet Joe would agree..that you ARE TO AN ANGEL!!
    Love to you all

    Jackie,
There is a friendship here. A bond that only we who are going through and have been through and our caregivers understand.
Glad that things are going well for you!

Yes, I did get burnt, not
Yes, I did get burnt, not bad, but burnt. I got worse after they were done. lol But, they had warned me that it might happen, so, I wasn't super surprised. Just glad they are done. My radiation oncologist told me to take it easy and to still use the cremes. So, I guess it takes awhile after they are even done for them to not affect you. Thanks for your good wishes. I hope you do great!

p.s. i read somewhere where some oncologist's are just using 3 weeks of rads, but, i think it is a trial thing. not sure if i would want to just have 3 and that to not be enough. interesting though.

How long before it goes away?
just wondering how long it is before you start to heal after a burn? A lady I ride with didn't lotion her neck and was very surprised when that is where she burned. I also didn't think of this. So it is a good lesson for me to also include the neck (node) area when you grease up!! love, Jackie
