    Our dear Jackie...
While in Billings, you are missed here - by us - at least as much as you miss us!

Am so glad that rads are going well for you. Really happy you've already made new friends during the process - which, of course, is not surprising to me at all! :-)

I hope you're standing on a nearby shore, fishing pole in hand, with Tootsie running around alongside! Enjoy your weekend, dear Jackie.

    Kind regards, Susan

P.S.: Marcia started a thread just a few days ago, titled something like: "How long does it take to make a friend"... Many members posted, all expressing your same feelings, in their own unique ways. It's a good one, worth searching for and reading.

    Dear Susan
Wish i were fishing, but instead we are planting our garden ( i enjoy that just as much) I am planting everything for a Salsa garden and then I can them and give salsa, spagetti sauce, stewed tomatoes..etc.. away for Christmas.. (and your birthday!!!) I hope you have a really good day! luv ya, Jackie

How long before it goes away?
just wondering how long it is before you start to heal after a burn? A lady I ride with didn't lotion her neck and was very surprised when that is where she burned. I also didn't think of this. So it is a good lesson for me to also include the neck (node) area when you grease up!! love, Jackie

    I don't know for sure
I don't know for sure Jackie, but, my rads oncologist says maybe 2 to 4 weeks. Mine is better already, and, I wasn't burnt bad, like some I have heard of. Yes, put the cremes everywhere. You can't see where the radiation is hitting you until you do start to tan or burn a little. Then it shows up on your skin. Mine didn't go on my neck, but, right under it and right under my boob and between my boobs. Just use the cremes everyday and night! Have a good week in Billings Jackie!

and yes, Good luck to Moopy and all my other sisters who are beginning rads, we will be in this together! luv, Jackie

    Dear Jackie...
My husband went fishing twice this weekend! And in between, we finished up (well, almost!) our vegetable garden, too! Tomatoes, cucumbers and herbs are now planted. We've got a little extra unexpected room for some peppers or beans - which need to be purchased. Wishing you safe travels to and from Billings, dear Jackie. And, most importantly, that you'll continue to do well with rads. Sooo glad you'll be meeting with a lymphedema specialist. Really good news. Take care - we'll miss you this week, as always! While looking forward to hearing from you again come the weekend.

    Kind regards, Susan
