the funny things kids say...
My kids have been such a source of strength for me and keeping me laughing has been one of the best things ever!
I asked my 10 year old boy how he was feeling about the op (masectomy) and he shrugged his shoulders and replied "eh..I didn't pay much attention to your boobs anyway mum" hahahaha awesome! I nearly fell off my chair laughing!
Have any of your children told you any gems lately?

Pill Patrol
I rarely see or talk to my 16 yo son who is in foster care(which is very good for both of us), but i have a funny from my wonderful boyfriend. i have pills to take everyday, and i have some other issues other than cancer which makes my very forgetful, interferes with concentration etc. he works swing shift and has me on a TIGHT schedule for pills lol which he based on my sleeping schedule (what a honey). he will call me from work at my designated time to take pills. i call this pill patrol lol. well, last night he called from work, my brain is all excited he is calling, totally oblivious to the fact that its time for the night pill. he skips hello and goes straight to..."it's 9:30 pm do you know where your pill box is?" ( based on a tv public service announcement from years and years ago...its ten o clock, do you know where your children are. anyway, i laughed so hard. he has a way of making pill patrol fun for me so i am not so frustrated by my brain.0 -

I accidentally drank out of my eight year olds pepsi the other day. He said, "Mom, you drank after me and you have cancer!". Poor guy thought I was contagious.
Tessa my 4 year old granddaughter when I'm strong enough to walk without a walker or even hold her she says "Gammie do you still have cancer" melts my heart everytime!!! We went out to lunch and I stepped off the curb and kinda wobbled a little and she said Gammie wait hold my hand your freaking me out man!!! Love that kid!!!!!0 -

Dee, when I was originally
Dee, when I was originally dx'd, my niece who lives with me was 11 at the time... My children who are now 17, 23, and 24 were all at home with my husband and I discussing my "options"... though I ultimately decided on a lumpectomy my niece said "have them both takin off Aunt T, your kids are done with them anyway"...lol I about lost it!!!! The entire living room rolled with laughter... a bright spot on a dark day!!

Things your kids say
Last April when I was starting to lose my hair my then 19 year old son said to me, via text of course,"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To me, you will always be beautiful." I have saved that one.0 -
My daughter hates me to repeat this one, but...
when she was about 8, as we were finishing dinner, hubby was starting dishes, I was putting food away...
She asked "Mom, do you and Dad still have sex?" Thankfully my back was to her (Cuz I was staring to laugh and panic) "Why do you ask?" said I (a safe non-answer!)
"Because, the next time you do, I'd like to watch!"
Well, hubby was bent over the sink, laughing so hard I thought he was going to drown in the dishwater. And, I know I was seriously holding back laughter, but my body was just convulsing holding it back. I do not remember my answer, but I will never forget that question!

My neighbors have an eight
My neighbors have an eight year old who is a pistol. She is friends with my kids so she know I have cancer. After I was done with treatment she walked up to me and said in a very up beat kind of way "so, how's cancer going?". Thought that was pretty funny.0 -

Told my daughter (19 & in college) that onc told me to start giving up red meats and how I was bummed about giving up steak, she replied...that it will be o.k. because it is 'brown' when I eat it, so it is not red meat...oh Lord---public school education? or 'blond' moment???0 -

So when my nephew was about 8 my sis and her husband were exiting the church with everyone. They were all standing around outside when the crowd turned toward the side of the building. My nephew and the pastor's son were peeing on the building. My nephew says outloud, "Now my dad says to shake it three times."
Fast forward to 15. He is not allowed to be with his girlfriend anymore. Turns out the girl's mom was letting them have sex at her house, etc. He yells at my sis, "You're taking the best sex I will ever have from me!" He is now 25 and my sis loves reminding him of that comment.
Now this is not funny but so like my lovely daughter. After my lumpectomy I was told to not lift anything for 24 hrs and then nothing more than 5lbs after that. The next day when I asked my daughter to do the dishes she replies with a curled lip, head bobbing, "Why? It's been more than 24hrs." I knew everthing was alright with her. I would have been really worried if she had actually offered to help.0 -

not related to cancer...
but when my son was 4 he drew on his foot with a marker. My husband asked him why he did that. My son's reply was "it looks more professional that way."
...when he was 6 we went to Fresh Choice (a salad bar) for dinner. My son ate a little, then asked if he could go to the dessert bar. We told him he needed to eat more of his food first. He calmly explained to us that he had 19 stomachs, that each of them had a purpose (veggies, pizza, bread, etc.), and that his dessert stomach was empty.0 -

Kids have a whole different view of cancer. I wish we could see it through their eyes sometimes. Thanks for sharing.

I love that! My dessert stomach is empty too. Can I have a separate stomach for chocolate? Or does that have to be all crowded in there with desserts ;-)0 -

CC can I have a separate butt for the inches to go to after the dessert?
My 17 year old daughter(honors student) thought she heard a mouse in the middle of the night so she started meowing at her ceiling to scare it away. (I think the sex one is hilarious!)0
