    Dinner, More Dinner
    Since our son-in-law is here from Afghanistan we are having his mother/boyfriend, brother over for Turkey Dinner. Yup Turkey again only because son-in-law didn't get it in Afghanistan. Then on Sunday we are having his father and his wife, sister and step brother, and Grandma over for Steak and Lobster. Yup we are going to have our tummies full with good stuff. Have a great weekend everyone.

    No rushing this year
    I finished my Christmas shopping early for me this year, so I think me and the kids will do some things I don't always have time for at this time of year. Go see a movie, play some games, relax with them instead of rush with them. Oh, we'll bake and decorate some sugar cookies :) I'm feeling very good these last few days, but folfox is comin' up on Tuesday and I remember last time.

    Messiah
    tonight we are going to a performance of Handel's Messiah. The concert is being held in a very beautiful old church that has carved wooden beams. lol I just thought that's pretty funny telling you a Canadian church is old pepe.....old in Canada is like 100 years....but for us that is an old building.
    The soprano part tonight is being taken by a young local girl who studying voice in England....that should be pretty exciting for our home-town crowd

    This weekend
    Tonight we are invited to a wine and cheese party at our friends/neighbours house. Tomorrow night is a huge Christmas party at another neighbours - they do it every year + it is wonderful, We also need to decorate the tree + house + get gifts organized.

    Love Messiah, I'm sure is goin to be a very nice
    performance and and place to listen it ,a nice church ,lots of snow ,Christmas time! How many you go?.
    Hugs! ( yeah I agree we got different criteria about the word old but I'm sure the church must be wonderful , not needed to be renaissance ,or gothic to be beautiful ,).

    wow you have a big weekend ahead there girl .....good for you. I love the idea of a neighbourhood party.

    Pepe I put two pictures of the "old" church in expressions for you....hahah now you can see this lovely place. I took this pictures at a wonderful service for Mariners...I think you can see the shipping flags hung round the church. We live on the Great Lakes and a lot of people from this town are sailors so once a year there is a service for the blessing of the Fleet....all the young men and women who are training to be officers file into the church with the Captains in full uniform...it is quite breath taking

    Gotta get a haircut. Thought after round 4 my hair would start to fall out & was just gonna do the shaved head thing. So far havent lost any hair so just gonna get a trim. (gotta keep what i got!)

    Still have Christmas shopping to do also but NO WAY fighting the crowds this weekend! Will just go Monday since Im off anyway.

    I flew into see my Mommy! We already cooked 5 fruitcakes. I thank God for all his blessings and glory. I am so happy that he saw fit to allow me to spend time with my parents. I will be baking cookies tomorrow.

    this weekend
    My husband and I are going to a Christmas Open House tomorrow/Sat. evening. In the morning before then, we have a repairman coming to paint our ceiling and install a new light fixture. He was here last Saturday repairing the hole in our ceiling in one of our downstairs rooms. The kids' bathroom is right above it and we had a flood a few weeks before with water raining down through the ceiling and pouring through the light fixture in the ceiling. At least it will be fixed up for Christmas. Sunday will be church and I'm not sure what else. Not sure about tonight yet, either. The kids have their last day of school today before going on a two week break.

    So if folfox don't cut totally your hair as it does not fall
    completely, just get thinner and you loose just a 20/30 % so normally nobody realizes about! at least it was watt happened to me!
