had a second primary cancer 17 years ago and 2 years after her first diagnosis and it was in the same breast. She had a lumpectomy the first time so she opted for a mastectomy and chemo the second time. She's fine today.

It sounds like if, and, I say if it is bc again, your oncologist thinks it is a new cancer, not mets, which would be better, if there can be a better with bc. Post to keep us informed.

a fellow ACS Ambassador (whom I met in D.C.) did. Totally different...even down to the hormone indicators....
She is now 71 years young, and still going strong!!!

The way I found this board was my second primary. My first on in 1994, and the other breast 2009. also tow completly different cancers. They treat them as two separate cancers0
