Ladies,

first off I really missed you all. It's funny how you make a connection to people
just by posting on a board.

I was in my shell for quiet some time now. I am just biding my time till I am
reunited with the city that makes me feel alive. And woods and ocean...

Though I didn't make a peep, I never stopped caring and checking on you.

I found a saying by Georgia O'Keefe that goes like this:

"The cure for loneliness is solitude"

And suddenly I knew what I was doing.

Love,
Ayse

Yes I can relate. I've been in solitude for a while myself. I love the quote. Sometimes I don't know what to do with my feelings and sometimes I am alone then I rush back into life before I go over the edge. The edge meaning, I might want to stay home in solitude and I know that isn't good for me.

Getting through the medical battle was a fight that I was prepared to do, now I'm left with the battle of my mind. Your picture is beautiful and best of luck on the move to The Big Apple!I have the feeling that I might need a geographical cure, maybe you've inspired me.

I love the photo, welcome back. When is your reunion with the city?

For me, those times of solitude and reflection are what allow me to face the world. They give me the strength and courage to deal with the ugly stuff life presents.

Thank you for caring, and for checking on us.

    Hugs,

    Linda

    oh Ayse how beautiful!
    It

    oh Ayse how beautiful!

It reminds me of a poem by Hafiz called 'My Eyes So Soft'

Don't surrender your loneliness so quickly
    Let it cut more deep.

Let it ferment and season you
    As few humans
    Or even divine ingredients can

Something missing in my heart tonight
Has made my eyes so soft
    My voice so tender

    My need of God
    Absolutely clear.

    solitude
My family and friends won't let me have the solitude that I feel like I need to heal. Between working every day, and all the day to day stuff----sometimes I just need to be left alone.
I feel it is essential for me, and I wish it wasn't something that makes those close to me concerned.

    Kay,
if it's ok with you, I will let you know and we can catch a play
or eat some YUMMMY New York cheese cake.

I started the process, it will still take about 2-3 months.

    My Halloween Costume
This was me on Halloween, one of my favorite Holidays. I loved to dress up and be silly
and really act my part. I almost didn't go anywhere but in the last minute I thought heck
no, cancer won't take Halloween from me. I have started my Chemo again, Herceptin and
have about 6 more treatments left but this is not so bad by itself.

Here's some interesting tid bit. I bought this outfit on impulse when I was in an indian part
of NYC and then I didn't know what to do with it. So I had a friend from Morroco and sometimes
just for fun he would wear his traditional clothes and I would wear this and we would pretend
we were visiting NYC and have drink and fun conversations. Only once did I pretend I couldn't
speak english. My crazy friend was telling all kind of wild tales about me and I had to do all I
    can not to laugh.
