Mags
Mags,
I hate that you have to wait for the results. I am hoping and praying it is something minor. I hope you can get outside a bit (is it too cold already) and find some peace.
I'm sending a big warm hug to you from Hawaii.
Aloha,

fight the fear
I understand the fear. But, until those results come back, let's keep thinking (praying, hoping) it is something else -- not mets -- something easily treatable with a dose of antibiotics or something. That is the most likely. Meanwhile, keep breathing in and out.....
Love

As hard as it is, try not to worry. Near impossible I know but there is always the possibility that it IS something a nice antibotic can take care of.
When I had my colon/rectal surgery, they did a total hysterectomy at the same time even though there was no involvement. At the time I thought it was just to make the overall surgery easier to get to, but it was also to give less organs for spread, just in case.
How long do you have to wait for ultrasound to be scheduled? Did she do any blood work while you were there?
Keeping you in my prayers that all will turn out to be ok.
Hugs,
Marie who loves kitties
I too had a complete hysterectomy when I had my resection surgery, Heck they even took the cervix. And let me tell you, that was a good time, recuperating from horrific surgery, a temporary illeostomy, and instant menapuse all at the same time. There was no cancer in my reroductive organs but the surgeon wanted to get rid of any organ I did not need and that could get cancer.
