scared and upset.......mags
Saturday....well I went to bed about 7 last night....I could not think of anything else to do except fuss. It was soooo wonderful this morning to get up and find you shiny faces and encouraging words. Man does it mean a lot. The thing about this scare is that I do not want to tell people...just another dip and dive in the old cancer story so really there is no one to tell except all of you.
sorry that the weekend had to intervene...nothing will happen so we'll just wait and see...hurry and wait....
do we ever learn to be more gracious and trusting and filled with faith....or
do we just rush willy-nilly into blind panic mode with every fresh threat....
I seem to rush into blind panic and I distinctly remember telling someone this week it gets better.....
thank you thank you

My surgeon took out my ovaries and tubes along with my right colon and appendix. When Path came back they were *ok* but I'm glad he took that precaution. Just cannot figure out why in this world he left my uterus in. Now I have a mass of fibroids causing trouble. They showed up on my scan in August. Knock on wood or something because they are fibroids and NOT cancer.

Unfortunately, it is something that happens with the female, mets to those organs, remember they are all so close together. I have thanked my lucky stars that I had a hysterectomy just 2 1/2 years before my dx because the way my tumor grew it would have taken over those parts too.0 -
Hang tough
As hard as it is, try not to worry. Near impossible I know but there is always the possibility that it IS something a nice antibotic can take care of.
When I had my colon/rectal surgery, they did a total hysterectomy at the same time even though there was no involvement. At the time I thought it was just to make the overall surgery easier to get to, but it was also to give less organs for spread, just in case.
How long do you have to wait for ultrasound to be scheduled? Did she do any blood work while you were there?
Keeping you in my prayers that all will turn out to be ok.

Sorry Mags
Waiting is the tough part. Our imaginations go crazy. Hopefully it is just an infection or something else minor. For the last few weeks, my hearing was off, my head was hurting, I felt dizzy - you know where my mind was going. It turned out my right ear was plugged; the plug has been removed + I feel so relieved. I am so glad you didn't cancel this appointment, Mags.0 -
G'day Mags
Hey darlin I've been looking in my crystal ball and saw ME. A few years back a random urine test (no I am not an elite athlete) found blood and protein. My doc ,as usual assumed the worst and put me thru all sorts of tests for bladder ca. Of course he found nothing. He totally ignored the three episodes I had of severe collicky pain that went with the passing of kidney stones. They did a 24 hr urine collection which showed I was losing 3 gramms of protein a day. 150 mg is the permissable loss. Again the usual over-reaction I had kidney biopsies done looking for amylydosis and other really nasty things. They now accept that I 1 pass kidney stones(had the same prob with my ex gall bladder)and 2 years of colonoscopy preps have had some serious side effects on my kidney filters. I'm the glass is half full type so I reckon you are in the long term ca survivor crap happens ,side effect syndrome. And all will be well and you soon will be on teatments to minimise the problems. Hugs and best wishes Ron.0 -

And, it made the decision easier as to what hormone blocker I would then use after my hormone-positive breast cancer...the main danger of Tamoifen is uterine cancer, second blood clots...

Hoping Its Nothing
Maybe just a bladder infection or kidney stone like the others have said. Hope you get your answer soon.
Kim0 -
sounds like a bladder infection to me
I had a recurrence to my right ovary and there was no affects to my kidneys/bladder. I am sure you will find out you have an infection. I'm sorry you are scared and upset, I pray for comfort and strength for you until this issue is resolved. Stay strong!
