Gpa finally passed away

Those that remember a few months back when the whole family gathered at my Gpa's hospital bed to say our goodbys cuz they were taking him off life support and when the docs did this he miraciously got better instead of passing away like the docs predicted hed do.
Well yesterday he finally passed away at home and in his sleep...thats just how he wanted it. Allthou im sad that he is gone at least we were prepared for it this time and got a few months longer to be with him...which im thankful for and im ok with it now!

    to hear of your loss. Hopefully you can take comfort in the fact that he passed away exactly as he wished. My sympathy and prayers to you and your family.

    (((((((hugs))))))) to you jo jo~ I do remember your post and the miraculous recovery your grampa made. I suppose it is safe to say that most, if not all of us would like to leave the way your grampa did~ knowing he was loved by young and old alike, and simply falling asleep....

    I remember your post about you Grandfather JoJo and how it was miraculous that he woke up and was recovering.


    Having these last few months with him, I know you all have enjoyed and will cherish.

    Thoughts and prayers
    are with you and your family. I remember when he was in the hospital before and how happy we all were when he got to go home. I don't think there's anything more we can ask for than to go at home in our sleep, I'm glad you were able to make your peace with his passing and that you had the extra time with him.

    I'm so glad he
    had the extra time to spend with his loved ones. That is by far, the most peaceful way to go.

    I am sorry JoJO you have had
    I am sorry JoJo you have had so much this year. Happy your grandfather got to go on his own terms in his home!

    about your loss. Losing a loved one is never easy but at least you had him longer than you thought. He must have been a stubborn one if he proved the drs. wrong. Just remember he will always be with you in your heart. My thoughts are with you and your family.
