I haven't been to this site for almost a year, and, I am totally lost as to what is going on. For those that don't know me, I had a second battle with breast cancer in 09. My first one was in 1985. I have had 3 lumpectomy's since Jan. 09, with the latest one just this past September. All cysts, lumps and bumps were benign in the last 2 lumpectomy's. The first one in Jan. 09 removed the tumor and we got clean margins! Followed that with 37 rads, 25 regular and 12 boosters. I haven't been back to work, may just retire. lol My husband David likes me at home. I think he just likes being able to call me 100 times a day to check on me. lol Gotta love him!

Life after cancer, even after having cancer twice is good, no, it is GREAT! I just put the past behind me and look forward to each and everyday. Hanging on to fear or what has happened does no good, but, to drag you down and keep you there. I plan on living a very long and healthy life and cancer is not going to stop me!

Anyway, I saw the post on Facebook and wanted to say that I have a lot of you already as my friends on there, and, I play Farmville with most of you. That is where a lot of the "old" CSN'ers went. So, come on over to Facebook and play Farmville or just keep in touch with us. Would love to see you there.

Because Donna hasn't posted about bc on facebook, I haven't acknowledged it either. She actually wants to change her profile pic to a "topless" one holding her survivor t-shirt from the making strides walk, but we haven't gotten that far yet. After she does (hopefully this week), I will "come-out" of the breast cancer closet. My close family knows, but the more distant family, high-school friends... all those other people that you are friends with on facebook have no idea of what we have been going through. If anyone wants to find me on facebook can send me a private message, or I am friends with chen, so you can scroll through her friends and find me.
Anyone else not posting about breast cancer on facebook?

I tried to join facebook when the CSN California reunion pictures were floating around, but, it wanted my cellphone number to join and I wanted that to be private. Did that happen to the rest of you when you joined?

Privacy..
You are not required to put your phone number on facebook. I didn't. You can pretty much set your privacy settings to what you are comfortable with.
Having said that, ANYTHING that you put ANYWHERE on the internet is "out there" and is fair game for unscrupulous people.

Hello all,
I haven't been on in awhile either but have been on facebook for quite awhile. Love it and i do post on my cancer. Have just had revision surgery to get rid of the bad scarring from all the fluid i produced for months after my bilaterals in jan. I feel nice and flat under all my wraps. Yay
My face book name is Brenda Jean Swan. And would love to FB any of you wonderful peeps. Already have some of you on my "pink" list on FB.

Bob - I kind of did the opposite with Facebook - my friends & family have been on this journey with me since day one. I haven't made breast cancer the entire focus on my posts & updates on there, though. I've found it was a very convenient way to keep everyone informed on my surgeries, treatment, progress, etc. From the beginning, though, I've said that I'm going to be a loudmouth when it comes to breast cancer, get involved with whatever i can, raise money, raise awareness, talk in front of crowds if i have to, do the walks - whatever i can do to help out other women & their families going through breast cancer. I also use FB to send all my girlfriends monthly reminders to check their boobies

I would love to find y'all on FB too!! I find myself often "toggling" between the two b/c like Heather, I've decided to include every last one of my "friends" in my journey... hey if I have to go through so should they darn it! And, although they "try" to get it -- they don't hold a candle to my sisters here on CSN - you ladies Rock!!

Hey Diane..on facebook, there are various game applications. There are a couple of them where you have your own farm..plowing, planting, etc. It really is very fun and you can add "neighbors" to interact with. Several CSN sisters are farming now! LOL!
Pupz is an app. called Pet Pupz. There are also Cute Catz and Happy Horses. You basically care for your animal..feed, play, care, and pet your friend's pupz or catz or horses to collect points.
There are just a lot of fun applications on there, all kinds of games.
Just all relaxing stuff.
