That's great!
I'm new here...but had to reply...Chemo is such a tough thing to go through. It's been almost 5 years for me, and I remember it like yesterday. I also had the expansion and implants, followed by nipple reconstruction about a year and a half ago...I'm happy with the results, and it's definitely worth it, for your self-esteem. Good luck with your follow ups and though it doesn't seem possible, time will pass quickly. I can't believe I'm 5 years out in April!! Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Renay0 -

I'm so happy for You go out and party......
.. agree - the hardest physical venture of my life. Something I would NOT want to repeat, but could if I had to!
Congratulation on a job 'Well Done'. Be proud ... Now rest up, and take it easy for a few days ..

thank you & walk stuff!
Thank you ALL for sharing in my joy!! I'm still feeling good (i blame the steroids) and tonight, a friend of mine is throwing a benefit with proceeds going towards my Making Strides for Breast Cancer walk team. It's a karaoke drag show & looks to be ALOT of fun!!! So tonight me, my best friend, and my husband will do a little celebrating before I have my chemo crash, probably on Monday.
I wanted to let all of my sisters know that I'm raising money and walking for all of you next Saturday, the 23rd. Yesterday I designed & ordered some round, pin-back buttons for my walkers, and I made a few special ones - some for my girls that say "I'm walking for my mommy and grandme", one for Tim that says "Im walking for my wife", for my bff's Nicci & Carrie "Im walking for my best friend"- for the rest of the walkers i made "Im walking for my friend" "Im walking for Heather" and "I heart Boobies" - i figured the Boobie ones would be popular with the guys
But, I made 3 for myself to wear. "I'm walking for my Mom", "I'm walking for my daughters", and "I'm walking for my Sisters In Pink". You better believe I will have you ALL there with me, as I'm on that stage giving my speech, and as I'm walking on tired legs. I'm so proud & thankful of how people have come together in support of the walk. Yesterday alone I had almost 10 new people sign up! I've got people on my team that I don't even know - who are friends of friends who want to support, or survivors themselves who are friends of a friend of mine who want to help out. I set a team goal of $1,000, and we're already at almost $850 - a friend of mine who works at a Kohl's store procured a $500 grant to donate also. I'm doing my best to raise funds to find a cure - so none of us has to go through this again, so we can stop welcoming "newbies" on here, so we can stop mourning our sisters who have passed, and who are suffering, so we can protect our daughters, and so that no more women have to endure what we are going through & have yet to come. I truly love you all
