DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE QUOTE?
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it. Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it. Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is life, fight for it.

here's one
I have several and several scripture passages I love but this is one of my favorites. Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass its about learning to dance in the rain. God Bless

My favorite quote came from
My favorite quote came from my 4 year old nephew who was "wrestling" with his dad. His dad asked him if he would give up and he repled, "I will nevah suwwenda" (I will never surrender) in a perfect Elmer Fudd. When Danny or I have a rough patch, we quote little Phillip (now 17) and proclaim, "I will nevah suwwenda"!0 -

I have a few
It will be a great day when our schools have all the money they need, and our air force has to have a bake-sale to buy a bomber.
Robert Fulghum
Don't ever discount the wonder of your tears. They can be healing waters and a stream of joy. Sometimes they are the best words the heart can speak."
— William P. Young (The Shack)
Each relationship between two persons is absolutely unique. That is why you cannot love two people the same. It simply is not possible. You love each person differently because of who they are and the uniqueness that they draw out of you."
— William P. Young (The Shack)

LOL RE!!! Most everyone
LOL RE!!! Most everyone here already knows my favorite quotes~ even though I admit I made the first one up!
Altogether now! LOL
Be Stronger Than, Not Angry At
And yes, from the Great Debaters:
"We do what we have to do, so we can do what we want to do."
And on some days, I admit that I like the sentiment from George Burns which I have on an embroidered pillow:
"Happiness is having a large, loving, close-knit family~in another city!"
I also like, depending on who I am speaking with, or listening to:
"If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong!"

Interesting that you would choose Victor Frankl..I had actually forgotten how poignant his words are. When I was first diagnosed in 2003, my then 17 year old daughter was in high school and Victor Frankl's Meaning Of Life was assigned to her. She wrote that we here at CSN are alot like the concentration camp inmates of Frankl's WW11 world...we are at CSN through a set of circumstances we had no control over, the cancer is the SS looking for any way to kill us, we don't know if we will come out of it alive, we are bound because we are related~ "they" through religion, "us" through cancer, we have a strength we never thought possible, and a gallows humor which sees us through the darkest days. I was amazed at her insight...and OMG she was and is sooo right!
As I courageously battle a recurrance, I thank you for reminding me about Frankl and my daughter and that I can indeed be victorious once again!
Hugs,

I know I have said mine before too, but here goes:
The man at the top of the mountain did not fall there.
We cannot change the wind, we can only adjust our sails.
Never borrow trouble.
I don't care if my glass is half full or half empty, I'm just glad I have a glass.
When you stumble, make it part of the dance.
I have others but I can't remember some. Oh that reminds me of one that says, The faintest ink is better than the sharpest memory.
I love hearing these because then I can add to my favorites.

Mark Twain
Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval.

And here's one by my mom:
When evaluating words someone says to you, always remember to
look at the source, who's saying them?
And another
who's more crazy? The crazy person or the one who tries to
argue with a crazy person?
Another of my favorites by my mom;
One mother can take care of 5 children but five children can barely take
care of 1 mother.
