I have many, however this one that reads:
Hope is like a bird that senses the dawn and carefully starts to sing while it is still dark.
    - Anonymous

I'm not a bird person so I wouldn't be familiar with the type of bird who does this. There have been times, when in the dead of the night, I will hear a bird singing to its heart's content. It sings beautiful and so loud. I would joke to my daughter that this bird must be blind. Didn't it know it was 2 A.M.?! Yet night after night, it sang away.

It sure gives truth to this quote.

    Not a quote, per se...
I have lots of quotes, but the chemo brain is robbing me of them at the moment, so I'll just add this. I saw it the first time I went into my Oncologist's office. They have it printed on little papers like book markers.

    "Survivor
I have lived, laughed, loved, and lost.
I have cried, mourned, and grieved,
    hoped, prayed, and healed.
I have found strength and true beauty.
    I am a survivor."

And, another saying I saw first when my mother-in-law was fighting cancer and that I now have on a dog-tag pendant:

    "What Cancer Cannot Do...
    It cannot...
    invade the soul
    suppress memories
    kill friendship
    destroy peace
    conquer the spirit
    shatter hope
    cripple love
    corrode faith
    steal eternal life
    silence courage"

Love that one. I posted a pic of the pendant on my expressions page.

I saw this printed on a Trader Joe's Birthday card and loved the message. Here it goes:

Dance like there's no one watching... and live like it's heaven on earth.

    Fun thread RE.

PS Love your Mother Teresa quote, too.

Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval.
    Mark Twain

And here's one by my mom:

When evaluating words someone says to you, always remember to
look at the source, who's saying them?

    And another

who's more crazy? The crazy person or the one who tries to
    argue with a crazy person?

    Another of my favorites by my mom;

One mother can take care of 5 children but five children can barely take
    care of 1 mother.

    Ayse

Ayse your Mother is a wise woman. Thanks for the share.
I have a Mark Twain quote, too.

    Love means never having to
Love means never having to say your sorry.
This is really not true at all, but I just watched the 40th anniversary of Love Story on Oprah with Ryan O'Neil and Ali McGraw.
Boy, it was great to see them together again.
I am certainly dating myself but waited in line to see that movie!
P.S. They both agreed that this line was not true
