ughh Chemo #5 and I'm sick!

My dad is picking me up in less than 2 hours to take mom I to our appointments, so I think I'm just going to wait until I get there to tell them how i've been feeling.
Guess I just needed a second to feel sorry for myself at how crappy Im feeling. This is also my 1st Taxotere treatment, hoping that will be easier on me than the AC combo!
I hope you all have wonderful days!!
*hugs*

Sorry to hear you are not
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. It is so disappointing to think about not being able to get a treatment on time. Hope all goes well for you and your mom. I will be praying for you both. I have my third TCH treatment today and then I will be halfway there! Stay strong sister!

Aw poor miss heatherbelle...hope you feel better...taxotere was my helper...life was a bit easier with that...love, shy0 -
So sorry you're not feeling
So sorry you're not feeling well. From the start picking up some kind of cold or flu has been one of my fears because I just want to get through the chemo ASAP. I hate the thought of having to delay treatment due to illness, as I'm sure you do. Sounds like were on a similar plan. I've just had my 3rd A/C with one more to come, then it's on to Taxotere plus Herceptin.
I sure hope everything works out for you & that you're able to keep your treatments on schedule. Please let us know how it goes for you & your mom. God bless you both, & know you are in my (& everyone else's I'm sure) thoughts & prayers!
Love,

Thank you!! By the time I
Thank you!! By the time I got to the Oncologist's, my fever had gone down to 99.8, and my blood counts were good, so they did give me my chemo today. I never thought I'd hear myself say i was grateful to get chemo! The nurses there did their best to make sure mom & I felt special today. Then my dad and my husband both ended up showing up for our treatments, about an hour after dad dropped us off. We were surprised because mom & I both assumed dad & Tim wouldn't come because mom & I had each other there. THAT was nice. Mom's doing well so far, she was really scared but I could actually see her calming as we got along with getting ports accessed, blood drawn, talking with the Dr and nurses, and getting our chemo. She's going to be just fine. I felt really bad when I was there, I actually ended up going "topless" in there & taking my bandana off because it was itchy & i was hot & uncomfortable. I have no problem at all being around my close friends & family without anything on my head, but this was my 1st time being around other people. I didn't care, it made ME comfy. I'm hoping the taxotere is a bit gentler on me, some of your posts about it sound encouraging. My onc also told me that it may be easier on me. I definately feel much better now that I did earlier. The true test will be in a few days, lol. So far though I'm feeling much better than I normally do after chemo. I took a nap when I got home but feel pretty alright now, aside from these horrendous hot flashes. Thank you all for your concern & encouragement! I'm almost done!! You guys help keep me going!!!

So glad things worked out! And boy howdy, can I sympathize with the hot flashes! I swear sometimes I'm actually melting! Have to change bed linens practically every night. ☹
Anyway, I'm very glad that you & your mom got through today okay. And it's so good that both your father & hubby were there for support! Here's hoping you continue to feel better & that the Taxotere is an easier regimen than the A/C.
Love & prayers,

Hang in there Heather; AC was really rough on Donna, and while she had Taxol not Taxotere, the side affects were far less. She would say that she felt like the Dementors came and sucked out her soul while she was on AC.

AC was tuff on me to. I was sick for about three days after treatment. I had Taxol, it was easier. Just felt sick once in a while, but I was tired. Hang in there, your almost done.0 -

I'm so glad you were feeling good enough to get the chemo done. You only have one more to go. My sister had AC and then T, where I've had TC. I'm glad you and mom had not only your dad but your husband too to keep you company. I actually went by myself for my 3rd chemo. I read and crocheted. I don't blame you for taking your scarf off. I've been tempted as I'm always hot.
