Saving Henry.a mother's fight to save her son from a rare disease. Very moving.
Also just finished After Breast Cancer which was recommended to me by this site. Excellent.0 -
Water for Elephants
I just finished "Water for Elephants". Great read, understand a movie will be coming out in the near future.

That one is on my short list. Can't wait to read it. I am finishing off The Swan Thieves right now--long but very readable. Really enjoying it.0 -
Old Historical Romances
Most of what I read are older historical romances. I love Inglis Fletcher's series. Right now I'm reading "Toil of the Brave". I recently found several of her books in a bunch of books at a Thrift Store.
AS soon as I get a chance to find it, I plan on getting Bob Woodward's "Obama's Wars".0 -
I'm reading the one Jane
I'm reading the one Jane Austen makes fun of in Northanger Abby. It's The Mysteries of Udolpho. I only wanted to read it to see what was popular back in the late 1700's. It's a dull book and long. I agree with Jane Austen.
The one I just downloaded from manybooks.net is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. We just watched the movie and want to compare them.0 -

Yes, it was a wonderful book. A friend of mine recommended the book. It's actually hers. Another that I enjoyed reading was " Life with Pi". It is an EXCELLENT book, too! For those who enjoy reading fiction. Happy reading all!

No joke .. this is serious .. Chemo Brain and alllynn1950 said:The Professor and the
The Professor and the Housekeeper, and to young adult books: The Hunger Games, and Incarceron.
trashy magazines .. I am unable to concentrate very long ... The 'See Spot .. Run' series is entertaining enough for me, at this point of my journey ..
It takes me sometimes 10 min. to wish someone a 'Happy Birthday' here on our site .. I know what I want to say .. but sometimes, can't figure out how to spell the word ... SERIOUSLY .. It is depressing and frustrating -
I enjoy old re-runs of 'Everyone Loves Raymond' and Bernie Mac - because I watched them a while ago with my family (5 years ago or so), and it's easy to keep up with their plots. I am starting to work on smaller puzzles to help with my motor skills and brain functions. When I cook, I use 8.5 x 11 paper .. to write down when I started my roast, potatoes need to be boiled at this time, green beans steam at that time ..etc .. If I have several cooking projects going on all at once .. I burn them, and get flustered. My life ... hoping it gets better soon ..All side effort of chemo - this is why I have been deemed unfit to return to full time or part time employement.
I am taking note and putting all your recommendations on a growing list, here in my office ..
