Isn't it great that we have a 3 day weekend? Do I hear a Hip Hip Hooray? I think I do.

    I'm so boring
    Catching up on the at-home part of my job and enjoying a break from the going-there part of my job. Work has been crazy busy which is unusual and tiring, but welcome cause I'm still paying off medical bills.

    Now that I've bored you all, let's hear about something more exciting!!

    let see first I get that great little toe fix done this afternoon then I plan on cleaning and sitting in the hot tub for the rest of it!

    Wish I had exciting plans, but I dont. So I guess I'll just hang around the house and watch the weather channel and hope no Hurricans are coming to Florida this weekend or nxt wk.

    I had my Neulasta
    shot Wednesday so I expect by tonight I'll be soothing my aching body. However, hubby & I are having family over for a picnic on Monday. After hurricane Earl goes up the east coast today we are looking forward to more comfortable temps by Sunday...... Can't wait, since this has been a very hot summer. Thank goodness for central air :-)

    Birthday Party
    My daughter in laws birthday is today. We are all getting together at their house tom. with her family, who I really enjoy spending time with.I love being with my kids and grandkids all at the same time. I have to clean house at some point too yipee. Hope you all have a great weekend. God Bless

    The holiday!
    The weather is so beautiful now, just like Fall, so, it will make anything that we do much more enjoyable.

    We are going to some friends house for a big bbq on Sunday. Looking forward to just having a great day with our friends, eating too much, drinking a little and having a lot of laughs!

    I hope everyone has a great holiday!

    My husband refuses to travel on 3 day Holiday week-ends,
    so we stay in town, which in my case with my recent port removal is ok. Hot sticky and Icky here in Southern California. Can jump into a pool or spa due to my multiple surgeries - Bilateral Mact'my, and port. Maybe go to watch a movie, Dinner out. Boring - next year, I swear if Pete doesn't want to plan anything - I'm going somewhere --without him ... I've spent 13 months looking out my window - unable to travel, under House lock down. I wish I wish I could go back to the gym, Onc and Infectious disease Doc's state --I need to wait 2 to 3 more months .. Yikes!

    I think I may go out and purchase more frisbee's - and hand them out to Faith, Hope .. and Sass neighborhood kids .. LOL

    What holiday! We don't get holidays cause my husband works for himself and you got to work when it comes in or it may stop and you have a dry spell. So holidays don't mean anything anymore.

    I am from Louisiana. I had to return to MD Anderson today and on Tuesday next week. So,I am going to enjoy the labor day weekend shopping in Houston and praying that on Tuesday the doc tells me my tumor is responding to chemo. Anyway, I will make the most of it. Happy Labor Day.

    But I'm working thursday through wednesday then I'm off the next week. I work 12 hour shifts. By next thursday, I will be very tired!

    I had a bad fall on Wed and fractured my left shoulder. I was bringing out the trash. 4 - 6 weeks in a sling but don't need surgery. Good thing I'm right handed.

    oh my roseanne so sorry.
    oh my roseanne so sorry. hope you heal quickly. I am resting, and school shopping. and being lazy. Earl(thankfully) was a bust so we dont have to be in readiness anymore. have a wonderful weekend all!

    so sorry about your fall! Thank goodness you don't need surgery. 4 years ago I fell leaving my house and shattered my left shoulder. Unfortunately it didn't heal well after surgery and the following year I fell and broke my right shoulder. After surgery I developed a bone infection. So now I have no left humeral head and a reverse total shoulder prosthesis in the right arm. Sending you {{hugs}} for a speedy and complete recovery. Of course, it's very uncomfortable wearing a sling for 4-6 weeks and you will probably need PT afterwards.

    Staying put!!
    We just got back from a day at my daughter's, and that's about it for my fun for the weekend. My mother's not doing as well as I'd like, so tomorrow and Monday, I hope to stay here and catch up with what needs to be done, then start over with my mother on Tuesday.

    Earth, Wind & Fire
    Mark and I went to go see Earth, Wind & Fire at The Hollywood Bowl! They were absolutely fantastic! I was so looking forward to seeing the band perform and they did not disappoint. They're 3 original band members and the singer's son is in the band, too. They were accompanied by The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra! It was so awesome. Fireworks lite up the night skies towards the end of their musical segment.

    We packed a lunch( sandwiches and salad from The Corner Bakery) and dessert from Trader Joe's. Of course we had wine, too. I made sure to have a sip of red wine for you all! Cheers!

    weekend plans
    Returned from RI prematurely on Friday due to threatened storm in RI (Hurricane Earl). My daughter decided to err on the safe side so we cut our time in RI and returned to NYC. Yesterday, my husband and I went to City Island in the Bronx for a wonderful Seafood dinner.We enjoyed spending time by the beach and just walking in the gorgeous weather. Today and tomorrow, he works and I am relaxing, catching up on emails and reading. The weather is perfect.
