    Folfox:
Sounds like you will be on the Folfox combo. That is the same combo my hubby was on. He also had 5FU. You won't lose you hair, at least most don't, so don't spend money on a wig just yet.

George continued to work full time while on this combo. It affects everyone different. Fatigue was his biggest enemy.

Take care and welcome to the club we wish you didn't have to join. Go ahead and ask anything on you mind and someone will come on with their experience.

    Take care - Tina

Welcome. I don't think most people lose hair on folfox (5-FU, oxiplatin, leucovorin). If I were you I would wait to buy the wig, unless you really want one. Take good care.

    thinning but not loss
Hi. I've been on this "cocktail" myself. I had hair thinning but didn't loose all my hair. I got a wig "just in case" but never used it.

    Best of luck to you

    I didn't lose my hair
at least not the hair on my head, tho it changed from curly to very straight. No one in my family has EVER had straight hair! However, I lost much of my body hair, eyebrows down... All has come back to "normal", tho it took about 2 years for the curls to return.

Hair loss is not a common side effect of this regimen.

    Good luck with this all.

    Still have hair
I have done 10 rounds of that chemo and did not lose my hair. It has thinned a lot and is more dry/frizzy but I still have enough to put in a ponytail. I kept it long so I could wear a ponytail and feel like I still had lots of hair.

    Take care,
