My mother was diagnosed with BC 12 years ago at 41 years-old. I was diagnosed this year at 32 years old. So, I am scared for my younger sister who is 28.I will be praying for your sister.0 -

All fingers crossed.
Char,
Please keep us posted on what she finds out next Tuesday.
I'm sorry, but when I read this the thing that popped into my head was "Calcifications after 5 years on Tamoxifen - THAT sucks!" I haven't even been on Tamoxifen for a year and I'm already looking forward to the five year mark.0 -

My sister met
with radiologist today for a special mammo and ultrasound. The radiologist said the cluster of calcifications looks like what she had 9 years ago in the other breast. She will meet with the same oncology surgeon I had next Tuesday. She spoke with her gyn too. They both recommend the genetic testing which I took and I was negative. She will most likely have a stereostatic MRI assisted biopsy soon. She's prepared for the worst news and hoping for the best. Should know in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. My family has dealt with a lot of bc and we all know this is not fun!

Donna
met with my oncology surgeon today to go over radiology report re new calcifications in her other breast. She will have a stereostatic MRI assisted biopsy on Friday. He told her with our family history that if it's benign he will make an incision to remove all that's there. If it's DCIS in the other breast she will undergo the removal and rads again. Thank you all for keeping her in your prayers. Either way the surgeon doesn't want her to worry about the what if's.
