Please pray for me!
For those who aren't aware of my diagnosis, I'm Stage IV with mets to lymph nodes, liver, bones, and skin. This is not a recurrence. All tumors had shown improvement by April while receiving Taxol, Herceptin, and Zometa. These were my treatments for ten consecutive Fridays, then we dropped the Taxol and continued just H & Z for 15 more weeks (through last Friday). I saw my onc on that day and all seemed good. Just those few days later, my world took this turn. Today, after much discussion, I added weekly Taxotere to my regimen - otherwise, I will continue with H&Z.
I ask for everyone's prayers. I have not lost hope and don't want anyone to think I have. For now, it's one day at a time. Hoping it is a temporary setback and hoping too for lots of tomorrows.
Thanks for listening, God bless us all.
Marsha

My heart goes out to you, Marsha. You sound like you have so much to deal with, yet you are so positive. You are a true role model to the rest of us. My prayers are with you.

Many, many prayers coming your way as you continue to fight the "beast".0 -
Marsha
You have my prayers and fervent wishes that this is only a temporary setback.
I know your positive attitude will continue to be a great asset in your battle with the beast.

I'm praying for you
Marsha,
I know where you're coming from, I think I'll pray for both of us. I'm stage IV with mets to lungs, liver and bones. Just finished 18 weekly treatments of Taxol with Herceptin and Zometta. Now go to H&Z every 3 weeks. (Sounds similar to you.) My recent CT scan showed a new development in the lung and I'm really breathless. The onc said it was possibly a lung infection or new cancers. Big shock, so I know how you are feeling. I'm off to a pulmonologist Monday morning and we go on from there.
Let's try to think positively, we are not alone in this.0 -

I haven't had the chance to know either of you ladies for very long, but it's evident that both of you are fighters, and that you're both coming out swinging for this round of the fight too. We will be thinking of you and praying for you... and betting on you too!
God Bless,
Joe (and Moopy too)0 -

oh, my dear
Not so great news, huh? Life sure is not sounding very fair right now. I am sending lots of good thoughts your way. I need you rowing in my rowboat so don't you go overboard just yet. You aren't real partial to hair now, are you?? Hair is overrated. At this rate, you can just tattoo the hair on, smile. You are just so delicious and sweet that cancer had to come back for seconds and thirds. You will just have to show cancer your vicious fighting side with your army behind you. I will fight for you too. I am behind you hoping that you will show me the way out of this battle.
Sending you good thoughts and many virtual hugs!
Please take care of yourself!!!!
Thanks for sharing not only the good times but the bad times. Thank you for honoring us with that trust.0 -

Hair *is* waaay overrated. I moved to Iowa City in 1982, aged 21, with a full head of hair which I parted in the middle. By the time I moved out in 1987, let's just say that the part was considerably wider. And it's been widening ever since.
As I told the Moopster time and again when she went through her six rounds of TAC, "at least *your* hair will grow back!"0 -

Praying
Marsha I would be honored to pray for you, your attitude will serve you well as you deal with this not so exciting news. We all know what it is like to have the cancer fear trust at us, hugs to you and big prayers being lifted. In all the Bibles I own I have written these words "Pray hardest when it is hardest to pray", it is something a youth pastor told me once and I have found it to be true. Hugs to you dear Marsha, let us know how you are doing.
