I'm glad you can have thismeena1 said:Thank you everyone. Now
Thank you everyone. Now trying to figure what i am going to do with the next 4 months off work!!! Besides doctor appointments and phone calls. I do need this time to recoup and let my body heal. Well i have been cooking up a storm, yesterday i made potato egg salad, homemade pickles (I swear to die for!! Rachel Ray recipe), cost about $10 for the ingredients and i could have bought a jar for 2 bucks. Last nite made cupcakes. Today, my hubby took me on a run to try a new pizza place (ugg) and cherry water ice. So, it is all about the food! I do need all the hugs, trying to stay positive. take care
I'm glad you can have this time off from work Meena. You certainly deserve it.
Great that you are cooking so much! I love to cook too!
Sending you more hugs! You are so admired on here Meena, so loved!0 -

((((((hugs))))) Sweet Sister! You continue to be my hero, and I just have a good feeling about you~ no matter the ups and downs oaf dealing with this recurrance.
I am saddened that you are still anemic, no wonder you are tired! But a reduction in pain is a Good Thing, isn't it? :-) Hooray for that!

Sending you lots of hugs, meena. You have been so supportive with so many other people. So what are you going to do with all of this time, well spend more time here on the boards with us, of course! Otherwise, have you thought about taking a cooking class through the local community and adult education centers?? It would be a great way to get out a night for yourself, meet some other people, and be somebody besides just a cancer survivor (heck, you don't even have to tell them if you don't want to). Or take up scrapbooking or journaling or make a cookbook to leave behind for your kids to inherit. (my kids would get the manuals to the oven and microwave, grin). Most people have good intentions about getting around to doing that stuff but never really do.
definitely indulge your taste in good food and once you have got it all mastered, just set up an invite and we will all come over and eat at your house. I hope you have lots of seats at your table!!
Speaking of which, go see the movie "Eat, Pray, Love" which I think would be perfect for you at this time. I haven't seen it yet but it sounds really good and everyone on these boards are wishing you to do just that: eat well, pray much, and feel very loved.
take care!!0 -
Dear Meena
So sorry that cancer is throwing you and ur family a hard curve ball. People say (used to also) things happen for a reason. I haven't so far found the reason. Maybe a learning experience? Don't know why bad things happen to good people. You, Meena are one of these people. Your insight, compassion, knowledge and love you show for the others on this site is truely awe inspiring. We all respect your courage for posting. I just wish you felt better.
This may sound a bit weird, but if I have a reoccurence, may I have the grace and stamina you seem to have at all times. I know I respect you for what you've done for me and others on this site.
May all your tests and new Drs be a positive experience for you. Keeping you in my prayers and thoughts. Katz0 -

Thinking about you
Please take care of yourself. I will be praying that everything works out and that your specialist can give you some new (and good) information for treatment.
Lymphedema is difficult because many people don't understand how it may change your life (I say in the middle of the night after being awaken in pain with a swollen arm).
Please keep us posted on what you find out.
