I am 1 month post radiation. Handled rads fine although most of my energy left me. I suppose I expected it to return but it hasn't. Once again, I rely on my "sisters" to help me out. I have tried to slowly increase my activity but the energy is just not there. I return to Oncologist and primary Physician in August but thought I might find more useful information here. Anxiety also concerns me ... if I get a sore throat, I think I have throat cancer ... headache, of course I have brain cancer ... and so on. I think I am a fairly positive person and I have handled this situation pretty well ... especially with the help of Effoxor and Ambien ... but something's gotta give. Advice please!!

    Give yourself time
Give yourself time to heal it take awhile for your energy level to come back. Remember it take a year to get back to normal. Your body been through alot it need time to heal so don't be hard on yourself rest as much as you can. When you have a little energy take a short walk it help build up your energy and help with depression. I hope my suggestion help.

Give yourself time, keep in close contact with Onc and
staff .. Journeling might help with your fears and depression. Your body has been thru alot .. energy is not easy to find, and once you locate it .. it can disappear at a moments notice.

    You need time
Your body needs time to heal and from this one month isn't nearly enough. I'm six months out from finishing rads (after chemo) and am just starting to feel like I'm getting some stamina back. Still though, when I'm done -- I'm done.
Take it a little at a time and be good to yourself. You've been though many traumas in the last months and we take longer to heal than we realize.
