How are you doing Meena? Imeena1 said:Oh, my. I just do not know
Oh, my. I just do not know what to say. As you know, I have also had a reoccurence also. I know what a shock this is to you and your family. This just reaffirms that we still need to keep up with follow up care and listen to our bodies. I am back in chemo, it stinks but I am still doing what I did before. This time it is not as scary to me, i know what to expect. Well, I guess we can go through this together, right now i am dealing with losing my hair again! It is so stinking hot and I have to wear a wig or hat. Please take care
How are you doing Meena? I haven't seen you post too much lately as to how you are doing on chemo again?
Post to keep us updated on your recurrence and treatment. We all love you and are praying for you!

I think I posted on yourMyTurnNow said:Sue, here's what I know, so
Sue, here's what I know, so far. I had my PET scan Tuesday but haven't gotten the results from that yet. Probably today or tomorrow. I met with my surgeon on Tuesday also. Her recommendation is a mastectomy. I totally agree but I want to take it a step further and I want a bi-lateral mastectomy. I am meeting today with the plastic surgeon to discuss reconstruction. I will then get back with my surgeon and she will schedule the surgery.
I spoke with my medical oncologist by phone yesterday and she is extremely surprised that the cancer is back. I had just finished chemo in 10/09, rads in 12/09 and have been taking Arimidex since 1/10. She has requested some additional testing on the biopsy that was done last week. There is a possibility that I will not have to do chemo again. But, until the final pathology of the tumor and lymph nodes is completed, it's unknown. She did tell me that once surgery and the final pathology report is complete, she will take my case before the tumor board and get input on recommended treatments from her peers. I will meet with her 3 weeks or so after surgery.
So, that's my update so far. I'll let you all know when my surgery is scheduled.
I think I posted on your other post, but, incase I didn't, good luck!0 -

I love what you wrote Pat. A blanket being wrapped around her tight. What a great sentence!

I'm so sorry to hear about the recurrance. You're right in facing forward and once again hitting it "head on".
Our prayers and love are with you. Don't ever worry about telling us anything. That's what's gotten us all this far.
Keep fighting.
