    I agree with Kathi; the original decision you made was indeed the right one~nothing about this Beast is predictable or respectful. We make our decisons based on many things~ and there is no need to look back and play "what if." It doesn't change the now anyway, does it?

    Know that you are loved~ and cared for and supported all of the way!

    My Turn,
    I am so sorry about the recurrence but what Chen said is true. This is one of the reasons we are all here. I hate hearing the news of new cancer, recurring cancer and mets but as much as I and everyone else hearing this we want to know. We want to be there for you, Chen, Meena and all the others that have recently posted this news. We are your support and will be your strength. To all of you, vent, scream, cry and let us vent, scream and cry with you. Then gather all your inner strength and fight the fight again, and win again. Kathi is so right, you can defeat this. So I saw, the news sucks but the warrior in each of you will rise up and do what needs to be done and soon you will all be back in the arms of NED. That's my prayer for you all.

    So sorry to hear your news. I don't know if you will scare anybody as we all know it is an all to real possibility. You know you can win the fight again with all of us at your side. You are in my thoughts.

    I'm so sorry the beast has reared it's ugly head again. It must have been so hard on you hearing that again. Glad you have followed up with tests. It's good also, you found it? that's amazing. Is that why you had the mammo or was it scheduled about the same time you found the lump? I know I'm always " feeling " myself up. More than just monthly.

    I'm so sorry to hear of your news and you shouldn't worry about scaring any of us because we are all warriors right! I believe this site is for all news good and bad as well as all feelings good and bad. We need each other and my prayers are with you and STAY STRONG you will beat it again!

    Don't doubt your decisions. There have been survivors on here that had mastectomy's that had a recurrence.

    You just do what is best now. Praying for you!

    I am so sorry MTN, really sorry. But, you know, as we all do, that many on this board have gone thru cancer more than once and are survivors living great and fullfilling lives! And, you will too.

    When I was first dx back in Sept of 2009, and decided on my course of action at that time, I know it was my best choice, at that time...lumpectomy, chemo, radiation, etc... but I also knew that there will always be that chance of the beast coming back. We all hope, never or at least a few years. I'm sorry yours came back so soon and I pray next time around the fight will be one. Forward and onward, no time to look back. I joined this site cause I felt it was the right place for me> I felt the strenght of all the sisters here. So no matter how many times we have to fight, we will FIGHT! and we will all be here supporting each other every step of the way. It may sound strange, but I feel such love for everyone here and I know it is reciprocated. <<<HUGE HUG>>>

    Just a quick thanks for ALL of your encouraging comments. I'm sure that once I get my treatment plan, I'll be looking and asking for information on the "new" things I know nothing about.

    Chen, I failed to mention in my original post, and I hope you don't mind, whenever I found myself the past couple of days going towards the angry stage, I remembered your mantra...Be stronger than, not angry at, and I actually caught myself chanting it once or twice. It works!!

    Of course I don't mind! That mantra has helped me so much, you have no idea! (or perhaps you do!) I have been saying it since 2003, when I first joined CSN and was a regular in the chatroom. I mentioned once how I had other things to do with my Life, etc, and that I was just so angry at having the roadblock of cancer thrown at me! Some wise soul encouraged me to leave the anger aside, and focus on being strong. From there came the mantra~and it has been a blessing to me on many occasions, NOT just the cancer battling ones. It helped me dealing with teenaged step-children "issues" over the years, or the every day disappointments of one sort or another!

    Use it! It was a gift to me,and most gifts make us happier if they are shared.
