Please celebrate with me
Great news - I got a new job. Getting a new job is very important to me, because my occupation is much more than a way of making money, it is a passion of my life. I am very happy about getting this job and I would like to share my good news with you.
For those who have not been following my journey, I would like to introduce myself. I was diagnosed with breast two years ago at the age of 46. While my mammogram showed a small tumor (1.2x1.2, stage I) after radical mastectomy and lymph nodes removal the cancer was upgraded to Stage IIIC with 10 positive lymph nodes. I underwent 4 surgeries, including DIEP reconstruction, 6 cycles of Chemo, 38 radiation treatments and hormonal therapy. I was very sick and was on medical leave during Chemo. I lost my previous job on my last day of radiation treatment when my position was eliminated. I felt betrayed by the company I was working and making contributions for 5 years.
You probably understand why I feel so pound today. My new job will have similar level of responsibilities and a potential for growth. It is my victory against breast cancer and I am asking you to joint me in celebration of life. I am very thankful to all of you who have been giving me support and teaching that everything is possible, to cherish every day and always look forward.
Love,
New Flower

I am so happy for you and
I am so happy for you and celebrating with you. It is so awesome that you got a new job that is a passion for you. I lost my job right before my diagnosis and havent returned to anything yet. I worked at a drs clinic and they lost funding, so me being there the shortest time, they had to let me go. They hated doing it to me because i was a good worker, but its that position thing. You are blessed and deserved your victory. Let us know how it goes
Take care
