Update on my reoccurance and vacation
Remember, if you have any pain or are not feeling well, talk to your doctor, insist on more testing if you do not feel comfortable. Some of the symptoms i was having, back pain, right shoulder pain, stomach pains, gas, could have been anything, but if a cat scan had been done much earlier, this may have been found before it spread. Thank you all for your responses and prayers.

You saw so many posts
You saw so many posts because we love you Meena and have been so concerned about you. So glad you got to take a vacation, but, sorry, no money.
So happy that you are improving! Praying that it continues for you!
Thanks too for reminding all of us to not overlook any pains that we might be having. You are one smart, brave lady!
Hugs, Jan0 -

for reminding us 'ex-smokers' why we are here in the first place. Please don't take my statement as a for sure thing - that all women who smoke will end up with breast cancer - I only mean to say -- that smoking is not a good thing for any women or man.
Hair falling out .. the only positive thing I can figure out to say .. at least it's summer and I hope you still have a few hats and scarve to get you thru the next 6 months or so of chemo. I am so sorry about the hair loss. been there - don't think I want to do that again.
My prayers are with you and the group of doctors trying to cure you. Keep strong and positive whenever possible - .
You are my hero

I agree with VickiSam! You are my hero too Meena! Fighting bc once was enough for me, that I can't imagine having a recurrence like you. But, you can do it! You are doing it!
Always praying for you!0 -

Meena, it sounds like your mini vacation was just what you needed. You are truly an inspiration to all of us. Keep fighting and know that we are here rooting you on. Take care of yourself and know that I am sending strength to you to get through it all!!0 -
Welcome back lovely Meena!
Your CSN family has missed you.
I am glad you had a chance to relax and reload.
Just be very gentle to yourself, no negative thoughts allowed.
Should they creep in, come here and let us hep you with them.
I admit, I have used and abused this board
And it has done me a world of good.
Meena, I admire your strength and easy going manner and
even in your situation, you pay it forward and give us advice.
I for one will take it to heart.

Your vacation seems to have been so good for you! So happy that you got a chance to get away Meena!
I admire your strength, your kindness, your unselfishness, as you are fighting cancer for the second time.
You seem so up and have such a great attitude! We need more of you on this board, more often!
I am so sorry that your chemo treatment is so long. Hard to imagine, as, I never had to take chemo.
Sending you strength, positive thoughts, and lots of prayers!

How wonderful to hear that the chemo is doing its job! It sounds like the mini-vacation was just what you needed - I wouldn't say you were a bad girl at all! If you had a strawberry margarita by the pool, it had to have been mostly strawberries (and therefor good for you) and less margarita. And after all, tequila comes from a plant, doesn't it?? Sounds like a good argument to me. Thanks for the update - we are all rooting for you!

Meena, the symptoms that you had, did they all just happen quickly or was this over a period of time? And, did they all happen at once?
Sorry for the questions, but, I was just wondering.
Thank you!0 -

Thank you all. Susie, my symptoms started in January. My doctor did do tests, but apparently not the right test. We can't go through life thinking that every ache and pain means cancer is back, but it should be ruled out first. oh, and my hair is coming out!0 -

Thanks for your quick reply Meena! And, you are right, we can't think every pain could be the cancer back, but, we do need to rule out.
Sorry about your hair
Have a good weekend!0 -
2nd time
I have had this pain in my neck that has just gotten worse and started last december. My Onco ordered an MRI which was suspicous. I did a petct scan 2 days later and it showed no uptake, thank God, truly!! But it is a good idea to be proactive! I glad you had such a nice time on your vacation. I need one after this past year!0 -
Welcome back friend
Yes, it's been hot everywhere! I'm glad you got away though, even if it was for 3 days. I had a trip to Florida to get away and nearly lost my wig a few times in the wind. Then I would adjust it only to find out it was sitting crooked on my head...good grief!
You're in my thoughts and daily prayers Meena.
Blessings,

Glad you had a good time. Margaritas mmmmm, and darn I wished you would have won the jackpot.
Meena if I could give you some of my strength to go thru (cuss word) chemo I would. Stay strong.

Sorry to keep asking questions, but, what tests did your doctor do at first? What did he think all of your symptoms meant?0
