UPDATE from Louann's best friend:
I have bad news Louann is back in the hospital in Tulsa. She had a stroke on the right side and is dehydrated so they are keeping her at St Johns room 949. She will she the phy therpist today. Her daughter and son in law are on there way to Tulsa and her son will be in today. Please pass this on and lift her in prayers. Than

This is terrible. Hoping that therapy can help her fully recover. Glad her family is there.

A relative of Louann's sent me this just now...
Hi Diane,
I was not sure if you had heard about Louann. She went to the emergency room last night and they have determined that she had a stroke. She could not move her leg and her husband said today that they are monitering her to see if they know what is causing them and to see if she was going to have anymore. Keep her in your prayers and I will let you know if I hear anything else. Have a Blessed Day.0 -

How sad to hear this news. Strokes run in my family, so I know first hand how devastating they can be. The good news is they have identified it as a stroke and she is in a hospital where she can get excellent care. They have come a long way in diagnosis and treatment. I will be praying for a full recovery for Louann, and strength for her family.

Kathy went to see her and says
"Diane, Just back from seeing Louann,she has not eaten for 3 days and her blood suger is out of site, labored breathing, and the iv fluids are not enough. They have her very heavy medicated. They asked her if they want to get her stablized and do chemo or just make her comfortable she is still wanting to fight, but I think the fight is almost over. Her family did come in today but most have gone back home. Keep in prayers and will advise you when I get more news wish it was better. Kathy"0 -

Diane, thank you for keeping everyone up to date. Louann, I am so sorry. I will keep you in my prayers for a complete recovery. I know St. john's very well. My dad was a patient there so I know you are in good hands. May you find peace and comfort. Hang in and don't give up!

This cancer sure does suck. I talked to Louann a few months back at great length about passing on. She is at peace with it and is ready for the next part of her journey. I hope she pulls through this setback but if not she's okay with it.

makes my heart ache
Thanks, Diane, for giving us this update. I'm so sad for the latest news on Louann- it just keeps getting worse for her. Her onc just seemed to give up at the beginning. I can't help but wondering if things would have been different now if she'd had a different, more aggressive oncologist. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

Louann will be moved back to
Louann will be moved back to a regular room from ICU tomorrow. Her blood sugar was over 500 and her dka was off the chart so they did a CAT scan and something to do with her stomach that will not let food digest (second hand info) but she is resting and stable for now. Keep lifting her in prayer0
