Another bright light glowing in Florida for all my sisters. Here's to all of you.........I love you!!
Thank you so much, Cousin Natly, for starting this thread -- I just got home from work here in Los Angeles, and I'm so excited to see all your candles!
Let's keep this thread going this evening -- let us know when yours is lit.

Dee (dyaneb123) posted this song she wrote for Relay for Life on another thread when she lit her candle this evening -- I didn't want anyone over here on this thread to miss her beautiful words:
"I am lighting this candle for you my friends
a symbol of hope and of light
for every survivor
I'll raise my candle higher
We will fight, we will fight, we will fight!"0 -

Lit in Chicago. Mine will remain aglow for the next two hours, when our pink sisters farthest to the West join in.
With heartfelt hopes & prayers, empathy & compassion, support & encouragement, now & always...

Candle in PA.
Just suggesting how lovely I think it would be if we all posted on one thread, so we can follow the candles as they're lit.

Even though my candle isn't lit yet, I can feel the warm glow from this magic night.
Thank you so much for this!

Come we now out of the darkness of our unknowing
and the dusk of our dreaming;
Come we now from far places.
Come we now into the twilight of our awakening
and the reflection of our gathering.
Come we now all together.

My candle is lit and shining brightly for all of us and those who support and love us. I'm celebrating a little victory today as I just had my 6th chemo, halfway thru my treatment. My hands are clearing up, my white blood cell counts came back higher today than last week, even with no shots. I've been giving the go-ahead for #7 next week if no additional side effects show up. I'm wearing a compression sleeve and glove for lymphadema so that's a small inconvenience but I'm not complaining. Thanks, Traci for coming up with this from your poet's heart. I want you to be my cuz too, along with Natly. Congrats, Natly. Love you all.
My prayer: May God look down on these points of light and remember each of us as we go thru our struggles to conquer this beast that wants to put out our light. May He help us to become CONQUERERS, as well as SURVIVORS.0 -

Had to come inside when the rain threatened to extinguish my candle. Reading your beautiful posts, I have to keep my tears from putting it out! Bless you all.0 -

I am a little late--you know the old saying a day late and a dollar short--but candle lit and saying a prayer for us all for strength to carry us through. Marilyn0 -

We can still see your candle, Christine Louise.
I guess that's the whole point of our candles tonight, isn't it? -- that they burn bright and strong and beautiful, even through rain and tears.
Thank you, Christine Louise, for reminding us of that.
