    Stage
Rectal cancer stage T3N1, November of 2004 at age 44
Stage IV, April 2006, tumors now in both lungs, liver and several nodes around the heart and currently on a Cmet(arq 197)/Erbitux/CTP11 clinical trial out of MD Anderson.

I don't worry about it anymore. When they tell me I have a few days to live, then I will worry about cancer. Until then, I'm living, not dying.

    Expect chemo and tests.
Aside from chemotherapy, I'll guess he will be getting some tests -- blood, CT or PET scan, maybe others, to access how well the chemo is working. Other than that, just watching and waiting. I would take the surgeon's decisive action against the tumors as a hopeful sign.
