I am so sorry. I know a little boy who has a port in his head, because of a tumor. The port he has is for draining. I understand you being freaked out, I would be to. Wait and see what the neuro says, maybe its not as bad as you think. I will keep that thought as well as keep you in my prayers.0 -

Big hugs Libby...I know you must be scared, but maybe someone has experienced the same thing and can give you better idea of what's really involved...I hope so...and I hope it goes well for you..0 -
Freak Away
Hi Libby,
As a two time survivor and soon to go for another PET scan I can completely relate to you honey. You have every right to freak out. If I were you I'd probably be 1/2 in the bag by now and having a good cry or screaming out loud (in the cellar of course so the kids wouldn't hear me). I don't think anyone is ever prepared to hear bad news but it doesn't have to be the end of the world. Every day is a blessing that I get to spend with my kids. Hold on to what is most important to you and it will get you through this as well. Best of luck!

I totally understand your being freaked out. I would be too. Since being diagnosed with bc I have been very unsure about what is going to happen but one thing I found that helped is reading as much about it as possible. The more I knew, the less upset I got...and...I now even try to joke as much about the things that are happening to me as possible. That really helps believe it or not. I pray for your anxiety and hope God will grant you a real peace about what is to come.

Someone on here posted that brain cancer was treatable. I remember this but not who posted it. Hugs.
I have heard of a port to administer chemo, since it does not pass the blood /brain barier. meaning the chemo doesnt reach the brain through injection in the blood. but I have heard more of using radiation.
We are with you and will be praying for peace, strength and recovery.0 -

Hoping for good news from the neurosurgeon. So sorry you're going through this.
Wishing you luck tomorrow. Ask your neurosurgeon as many questions as you need to feel comfortable and positive about your treatment. We will be thinking of you.

When my sister developed some hot spots in her brain they told her it was no problem, the radiation will take care of it, and it did!
My prayers are with you, Libby. Please let us know what's going on. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for good news.0 -

Libby, we're here with you.
Libby, we're here with you. Yes, I, too, would be scared to death with the worst part being having to play the waiting game again. Try to not worry until you get the true diagnosis. I'll be thinking of you today and hoping for a report from you that is more positive. Take care and sending strength your way!!0 -

Brain cancer is definately treatable!!!! We have a close friend who had it and they treated him and now he is fine. So don't go getting out the do-it-yourself-will-kit just yet! You've got a bunch of time left to drive your kids nuts!0 -
