I had amy meeting with my plastic surgeon yesterday. It went great. We are tentavely scheduling a prophyllactic mastectomy on my right breast with the pedicule flap for the other side also. I have been through mastectomy, chemo & rads & I will be a year into my diagnosis in July. I am very scared about it all, but all my dr.s think I do have a risk of re occurance since I have bilateral lobular cancer. For me, it will be a relief to have my breast gone. Since I lost the other one last year, I just don't want to be afraid all the time. Thanks for listening.

Hang in there, you are very brave. I wish for you to be in a place where you feel safe from cancer and relaxed to enjoy your life. You are doing everything and pulling out all the stops in your fight. You WILL win!

    me too
I also had a prophylactic mastectomy on the other side. I couldn't stand the thought of going through another 5 weeks of anxiety and waiting. That was the middle of Dec.....I don't regret my decision at all.
