Nasopharyngeal Cancer
They told me this is what I have and that its a rare Cancer because of where it is located.
I have not started any treatment yet but I do know I am in stage 3 and have 2 yrs to live..
Meeting with all of my Cancer team @ Sloan Kettering next week after I get a Pet Scan.
ANYONE have any suggestions on where to start to learn how to deal with this new Bump in my life.
David

Nasopharyngeal Cancer survivor
Hello David,
I hope you are doing ok, I found out I had this cancer back in October of 2009, I went through all teratments, Chemo and radiation. My PET scan in March shown I am clear. So hang in there, you will be fine. If you would like to chat, send me an email and I will share my experience. luluo5o7@aol.com. Good luck Lulu0 -
All I can say is read and
All I can say is read and place calls to all the Cancer institues and get as much information as you can. I ended up with 13 hrs of brain surgery and 6 weeks of radiation. That was in 1995 and thank God, still cancer free. Whatever option you choose, keep positive thoughts but get 2nd ,third and even more opinions to make a sound decision.Dont delay, everyday is critical and if radiaton is an option afterwards for the treatment-DO IT!!My friend who had something similar did not and did not make it.Radiation is not painful at all.
Let me know if there is anything further I can help with0
