UNDY 5000
and wore it over boxers that had pictures of a bunch of super hero characters, I blamed the rather cool breeze that was blowing for my watery eyes!
Even though the weather was not great overcast and in the forties with a rather chilly breeze to boot they had over 10,000 people enter it was great. Ill post some pics if I remember how again lol.
next year I am hoping, maybe...I can drag my old but around the course with her.

Yep
Go to the Colon Cancer Coalition they have all the info on there. There is one coming up, I think in May, in suburb of Chicago. I may be going to that one. There are held all over the US, they got a site. You can join, costs nothing, lost of info. You can read about the Congressional Butt-in on March 30th, where you call and connect with congress, they got all the info.
Also, in case you didn't know there are some other good sites:
About.com:Colon Cancer
Daily Strength: Conon Cancer Support Group
Chemocare.com has message boards, this is Lance Armstrong's site
Colon Cancer Alliance
The Colon Club
I like CCA, I have participated in webinars with colon cancer specialists, oncologistgs, detmatologists, and the like on that site, again, cost is $0.00. They usually have something going every Wednesday evening, 8PM EST. Even if you just sign up and sit in on the room you learn. No big deal to participate, believe me, not too long ago I was on one with a oncologist from Johns Hopkins discussing treatment for liver mets. Check it out.

We have something similar in
We have something similar in Toronto called "The Underwear Affair". It is in August + supports "below the belt" cancers - colon, prostate, ovarian etc. Participants are encouraged to wear underwear (Joe Boxer is a sponsor). There is a run + walk the same day, you can do whatever you want. My husband, 2 daughters + I are already signed up + more family + friends are expected to join.
That is so nice that your daughter + your wife's boss both participated; I think all of us feel better when we feel we are doing something proactive. Thanks for sharing your pics; your daughter is beautiful! I like the message that your daughter spread; you are her SUPERHERO!0 -
Fantastic
It is wonderful that both your boss and your daughter did this, and did it in your honor!0 -

Anne the Underwear affair sounds like fun, and with it being everything "below the belt" I bet the turn out is huge.
Pat I hope your energy boost does last...As for you runnin around in your undies, make sure it is a sponsored event, dont want to see you on that cop show
Kathryn, it was a blast and emotional!0
