I think anything is possible? but usually hear of the spread to liver and lungs. Is Chris having issues that make you think esophagus is involved?
his dr is doin some test on monday... chris has been having a really hard time swallowing for about 2 wks now.. just didnt think it went there but your right anything is possible0 -

Melanie, since Chris has the huge blood clot in his stomach, maybe there's a bulge or hernia in his upper tummy (look up hiatal hernia). I certainly wouldn't think cc would skip the liver, etc. and go THERE.0 -
Chris on chemo
Maybe the chemo is doing it, just a thought. George was constantly clearing his throat while on Oxi. I doubt it could move to the esophagus but remember Brant, I think his rectal went to the bone (rib) before the liver and then peritoneum, and not lungs. Now stop worrying until there is something to worry about. Tina0 -

Mine has spread to the lymph nodes in my neck around the esophogus. I have been having a hard time swallowing water lately and I have a hoarse voice. The Dr. think it is because I have a lymph node probably lower in my chest pressing against the esophogus. Just so much fun!0 -

Dysphagia( difficulty in swallowing or eating) can be a side effect of chemo. I was on Folfox and Avastin and had issues with swallowing in early treatment. My doctor prescribed a slurry for me to drink and it seemed to help. Mine was so bad at first that I didn't even want to eat anything and was losing weight. Just something to ask about.
Hoping all turns out well and his difficulty eases up.
