not to worry!
Cat,
Please try not to stress too much about this. I freaked out because after my 1st dose of Doxil my ca125 doubled!! My next ca125 was done in an outside lab so I was unable to truly assess the change but it did drop. My latest ca125 did drop again but I'm still not at where I started. I next lab is in 2wks.
What frequency are you receiving Doxil? Do you know your dose? Any side effects? I started getting side effects after my 2nd dose. My 3rd dose was lowered. 4th dose was at full strength but they are going to give it now every 4 weeks instead of every 3 weeks.

Hi nancy
I'm over the stress for now. I did read some previous threads that say this happens. I get mine every 28 days not sure of the dose. I had a few mouth sores and heartburn but that was it. We will see what happens after this one. Thanks for the support

If you read through past threads about Doxil, it seems as though an initial rise isn't uncommon. I hope some of the other ladies who've experienced this log on soon to give you some first hand support!
Sending you hugs!
Leesa
Thanks for the support Leesa. I did go back as you suggested and feel much better after reading the threads. What a roller coaster ride this is. how are you feeling?
Hugs back to you

Second round
I had my second round last Friday and started a fever Wed. night. Diverticulitis again. Looks like doxil and I are not going to be friends. My last dose was 1/6/10 and my CA125 only went up 4 points in between doses. Stay positive, we are all different. Saundra0 -
Hang in there
Dear Cat, Hang in there for as you know doxil works slow; and if this isn't the drug for you there is a long list of others. I know what you mean about being back where one was, been there done that and actually there right now. It does help keep us positive for just like the engine that could... we can say .. yes I can .. yes I can ... yes I can. :-D Glad it only took a deep breath and sharing for you to feel better. Hugs ♥ Prayers Bonnie0 -
Thanks for the encouragement Bonnie. I guess we are all the little engine that could. I guess it just makes all of us stronger and able to support each other which i thank God for. The support is fabulous. You hang in there too and the prayers are coming back to youBonnieR said:Hang in there
