Hi Sheri

Pain Management
Sheri,
Pain management is a HUGE issue for me. I don't understand why they dodn't call in the pain management team immediately when a patient has issues with meds. But, you endured it. Congrats on that. And, now you know and so does your team. When you need more procedures you can have a good pain plan in place ahead of time. Good luck and hope to see more of you while you recuperate and start feeling better.

Sheri
Sheri,
Wow, you've been through it. Thank goodness the pain team came on board and helped to figure things out. It is great that your doc feels things went well. Hope you rest us good.
Take care.
Aloha,

Ouch!
Hi Sheri
You had some of the same problems I had during my DaVinci surgery too - that's a whopping surgery that literally takes your breath away. Pain management is a huge issue too, just when they figure out what works, they begin to take you off of it.
You're doing better than I did, but being the warrior you are, this does not surpise me. I'm so glad that things went well.
Now, CyberKnife will be interesting - had it done on my liver with the beads and such. Good luck on the lungs. They should be measuring you soon for your "form" that you are going to lie in during treatments. Hardest thing for me was holding my arms over my head for over 2 hours a lick - they go numb in a big way. And just hope that you don't need to go to the restroom - nurses will give you dirty looks all day, 'cause they have to reset Cyber and start back over and that takes time and holds everybody up.
You will get to see a movie from the ceiling though, so pick out a good one.
All the best going forward - sounds like NEDsville to me

Oh my!
Hi Sheri,
Well I'm glad to hear you're back home again- what a huge nightmare of an ordeal! But, it is now BEHIND you and you got through it and you're still kicking! Onward and forward to the next thing- cyberknife. It will be a piece of cake compared to what you've just been through. I will be interested in hearing how it goes. Are you getting cyberknife on your liver or your lungs? I'm a bit confused on that.
I didn't think they could do it on the lungs, but wasn't sure.
You take care, rest up, and I will be thinking of and praying for your recovery.
God bless,
Lisa0
