Hey everybody!

WOW! It seems like it's been forever since I've been with you guys. Thank you everyone who thought of me, prayed for me, called, messaged...just everyone! I'm still in quite a bit of pain, so I'm going to keep this short and to the point. I am so happy to be home. That seemed like the longest 10 days I ever spent! This procedure was a doozy...I have never in my life experienced such pain. REALLY!! We originally went in thinking there were about8 nodules that needed removed, but when she got in there, it ended up being more like 18. She removed most of them and was very pleased with the outcome. The few that she couldn't get, she put markers around them and we're going after those with Cyberknife. I had a few issues in the recovery room. They were trying so hard to get my pain under control that they accidentally overdosed me...I was told that I actually stopped breathing for a minute. Scary huh! And the next day, it seem that the epidural they had placed in my back for pain control was continuously dripping, so once again...too much Fentenyl. I became dazed and unresponsive and my pupils started dialating. They had to give me a couple of shots of Narcan, which reversed the effects of the narcotics. Which means...NO PAIN RELIEF either. OMG!! I was in so much pain that I almost passed out. Well, after those two scares, they were leary of giving me any narcotics, so basically I was on high powered motrin. That was not working for me at all. My blood pressure was through the roof. I couldn't/wouldn't cough or breath heavy or anything because it all hurt so bad. This meant, I wasn't using my lungs so of course, I developed fluid on the right lung, a fever and some collapsed lung tissue. Well, to make a long story short, we worked with the pain management team and managed to come up with a pain regimine that worked for me. I was discharged on Saturday. So now I'm home, trying to get adjusted here...which has been interesting, to say the least. I met with the radiation onc today to discuss Cyberknife, so we should be starting that in just a few weeks. As of today, things are looking good for me. Again, thank you all for thinking of me and not a day passed that I didn't think of you guys too. We all fight together!
