A little info, and a plea for extra prayers
Anyways, I am here because I need to vent a little. I started chemo in Nov of 2008 and started my period the same day. Perfect example of Murphys law. I finished chemo in May of 2009. I started tomoxifen that same week.
Life has been moving a long nicely for me. A new relationship with a women who actualy apreciates my sense of humor. For those who know me, you will be happy to know that she laughs at my tantrums.
Well on Feb 24th I started my period. After getting the typical run around from the VA I finely got things taken care of and appts set up. I am being sent in for an urgent ultrasound which is to be done before the 9th of March, which is when I will be seeing my gyn. This period is so deifferent then any periond I have ever had. The flow is so heavy, and it is exusting me. My periods have never lasted longer more then 4 days, and it has always been so light. But this one OMG I cant leave the house it is so bad, and showing no signs of stopping.
I know that I am in many of your prayers, as you are in mine. But I am asking you please add a little extra, I really dont want to do this again. And the way I have been felling before I started my period and now during it, I am really concerned. You all know that I am not a complainer but I have to say that I really feel like crap.
Thank you
tj

All good things, all
Tj~
All good things, all positive thoughts, all clean/clear tests, and may it happen QUICKLY! I can imagine how frightened you must be, and whatever you need from any of us~ you've got it!
Our brains always go there, don't they? Of course it could be a cyst, or an imbalance of hormones, or anything, or nothing. But we all now what you are thinking.....Just know that you are now surrounded by the strength of the sisterhood who are with you at every turn.
Let us know what happens with you~ you are never more than a thought away from us.
Hugs,

Yes, I agree...
You, dear TJ, have not been a "complainer"... Which is why your post is even more upsetting than it otherwise might be. I am so, so sorry for this new worry. And I'm so sorry you've been feeling crappy. I'm sure it, unfortunately, adds to the current concerns. Of course, dear friend - extra special heartfelt hopes and prayers your way. More than usual. Please, indeed, do keep us posted about the results of your upcoming ultrasound.
If this helps - I had a similar situation, after being on Tamoxifen for not quite a year. Like you - was sent for a complete pelvic ultrasound. Which, in the end, showed nothing. My doctor actually used the word: "cobwebs"... As in - the body shedding excees build up that had its normal outlet artifically closed off by both the chemo induced menopause and the Tamoxifen. Haven't had a problem like it - not even a tiny bit - since. I'll hope it all turns out the same for you, dear friend.
Kindest regards, Susan xo0 -
TJ, good to hear from you,
TJ, good to hear from you, it's been a while. First, I'm happy to hear that you found someone that appreciates your tantrums. LOL. As far as your extra heavy periods, I can tell you that the last 2 periods I had before going into menopause were horrendous. I had to use not only a tampon but a heavy duty pad as well. And, that only lasted for a short period of time. Perhaps you are experiencing something similar. I'd rather think that way than any other. Good luck and sending strength to get through this. Please let us know what your doc says. Take care.0 -

Does this mean the hunt for Wendy and I is over? Ok, kidding aside...just wanted to put a lil smile on your face for a second. This saddens me to read this. I don't want to read or even think of you having any health problems. I will pray for you Tj and stay positive that your doctors will find the reason behind this and be able to solve it quickly and easily. I never took tamox myself so I can't offer any life experience on it. I know sometimes ( i have read ) doctors take women off of it for just a few weeks to see if their periods straighten out. Perhaps that will be the case here. Just know that I am praying for you and sending you big hugs!

TJ, I know you will be OK
So sorry for all you are going through right now. This could very well be a side effect from Tamoxifen, but not necessarily something serious. Please keep us updated. I am really thinking that this will be resolved. Oh, and congrats on the new woman!

tj............
First, to Jeanne....tj told you she was raised learning how to track game through the swamps. My best advice to you and Wendy is still to...run!
Tj, you are always in my prayers, dear girl. I have the utmost faith that any appointments and tests will be done quickly, and that everything will be fine!
Great big, calming hugs for you!

Dear TJ... my dear friend...
Dear TJ... my dear friend... you most certainly have my prayers and possitive thoughts... Please keep us posted on what they find out... I am glad you have someone there by your side so you aren't going this alone... I'm so happy for you for that... In the mean time try to keep yourself distracted ... take it easy... try to rest... and know you are in my thoughts!

So Sorry
So sorry you are going through this. It is always something, isn't it. I had something like this and it turned out to be a polyp on my uterus. The surgeon removed it and after that, everything was fine and back to normal. Stay on top of this, I ended up becoming anemic.

TJ! Hello
Just popped in and read your post. I have always thought of you as a powerful, spunky person - so if you say you feel like cr*p, that's cause for concern. You have never been a complainer on here...au contraire, my dear, you've been the bringer of much humor and positive energy. Of course, I'm sending prayers your way - that this is just a result of too much of an awful thing (breast cancer, chemo, and tamoxifen) and will be easily resolved. xoxoxoxo Lynn0 -

I'll be sending prayers your way that this is nothing serious and that it gets resolved QUICKLY. Waiting sucks.
Glad to hear about your new relationship, though - laughter is so important!
Take care,

I am so sorry that you have another worry. I know the VA is a pain, but we both know that you will get good care ( once they get started ). You are in my prayers, now and always.

I'm pretty new, so I haven't seen your posts in the past, but I can surely feel your tension. I pray everything turns out fine. AMEN.0
