Chemo parties

It looks like I am going to get a break from chemo parties after the one I am currently having. I get scanned again the first week of February and if all is still clear the doc is going to stop my chemo treatments, unless he changes his freakin` mind again. I `ve already had more than the standard amount. I pray my scan will be clear. I am getting a little burnt out on the chemo parties. I must be old - no more chemo parties for me. I keep telling myself I`m going to quit chemo and it never happens - I am a chemoholic. Hello, I am Eric, and I am a chemoholic. The first step to recovery is realizing you have a problem. Is there a 12 step program for cancer patients? From the moment they unhook me I look forward to my next fix. I dream of taking chemo and being poked with needles. It is the highlight of my life. What will I do when they cut me off? Oh, I know - I will start feeling better and living a better quality of life. Who wants that? I like lethargy and chemo brain. What was I just typing and where am I? It`s time to go to sleep now - I`m tired.

This is a 12 step program
Take it from a guy who has been in AA and sober for 27 years. This web site is like a AA meeting.

We all get in touch with our own feelings here by reading what other folks are going through. They might use different words then me, but you learn to listen to their feelings. You have a hell of a lot of feelings in you post. I have learned much from here as to where I have been and where I am going.

Getting ned feels like being sober for a year but knowing you could go down the tube tomorrow. It is down right scary, but is something we all just have to come to terms with.

    Tired?
You bet you're Tired - and sometimes you just need to say so :)

I hope things settle down for you, Eric - you could use some time away from this - hope your scans are clean too.

Good to see your "style" is still intact - can't ever take that away from you :)

    Chemo Party
    Eric,
If you miss the chemo parties, I go every other week in Grapevine, just down the road, you could come to my party. We asked for Movies and Popcorn yesterday, but all we got was The Weather Cannel. If you are tired of chemo parties it looks like we are going to have Radiation parties, I hear those are a real buz! (HE HE HE-chemo brain humor)

    Eric you are an ispiriation!
