The 2 things I miss, being in Holland....
The Times Square ball drop, and the Rose Parade!!!

There is another, dutch ball that drops. So that is sort of covered...but I'm going to attempt to watch the rose parade on the internet...it's always so beautiful!

We bought our fireworks, and got a ticket for 8 free oliebollen (fritter-like things filled with raisins, made fresh right in front of us)...mmmmmm....with plenty of powdered sugar....

And then...there was MORE powdered sugar last night....IT SNOWED!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!

    Hugs, Kathi

    Happy New Year!
Our best friends are coming over to celebrate New Year's Eve with us. We eat, drink, play cards and have a great time together. I am hoping to convince my husband that Monopoly is fun too. HA He hates that game.

Wishing all of you a Happy New Year!

    Dinner - Kiss - Dance
We have reservations for dinner at our favorite restaurant. I bought a new fancy outfit and polished up my high heels! Add the bling earrings and I am set to go! Our reservations are kind of late and we plan on taking our time, but, we will be back home by midnight. I plan on laying a big smoocher on my husband as midnight comes and we are dancing to our favorite song. Wishing all of you a safe and healthy New Year!

    I don't think I answered
I don't think I answered this one and boy what a long thread! We are staying home and watching movies and eating pizza and celery with peanut butter on it. In case you are wondering, we are having the celery because it's been in the frig a week and we need to eat it and no one will touch it unless I cut it up and put peanut butter on it. It was supposed to go in the stuffing at Christmas but I was lazy. Not the peanut butter just the celery was for the stuffing. Happy New Year!

    Very quiet here
I'll be spending New Year's alone. No partying for me! On Christmas Eve Day I had my appointment for labs and it felt so good outside! My car died about the same time as surgery so I'm not driving. But I was out with a friend on the 24th. She took me for some very tame shopping, browsing at the local dollar store. I had to do some grocery shopping so we went to the local WalMart where I rode a scooter. After I got home and put away groceries, another friend brought by some KFC. I ate only 1 piece.

Later that night I started to feel the errors of my ways! The chicken purged itself and my body told me to sleep. I slept most of the next 2 days and finally today I feel somewhat normal. Much joking is being done of my being a real party animal, so I plan to see the New Year in horizontally!

It might be different if I didn't live alone but as it is, my health will be first on my list of things to take care of.

    Have fun for me!!!
    Leanne

    Happy New

    My Plans
Me and my boyfriend have rented a cabin for just us at our favorite lake... I am taking a gift basket full of goodies like godiva chocolates, cheese, crackers. It has a fireplace and we are bringing a bottle of champagne. He and I broke up about a month after my dx in May. His Dad had recently died and then my dx so neither of us could really be there for the other.. So we plan on putting this year behind us and move on to a new year full of hope and renewed strength in our relationship with each other...

    Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all of you! We had a great time last night! A lil hungover today, but, it was worth it! HAHA

    Our plans
We've got a few friends coming over for dinner. It is like a potluck. We set a theme for the meal and everyone brings something to go with it. This year it is Italian, so there will be lots of pasta with everything on or in it, garlic bread, salads, cheeses and lots and lots of wine. We play cards and listen to some good tunes. I love bringing in the New Year with good friends!

    Happy New Year!

Ok, I ate too much Italian
Ok, I ate too much Italian and drank wayyyyyyyy too much vino! HA!

    Recovering today!

Hope everyone had a safe and fun new years eve!

    Hungover Hugs!
